well we all knew it was going to happen.... i didnt expect Harrison to be in the blood. That sure pulled at my heart strings. Astor and Cody going to their
grand parents? Will they take Harrison? I hate that Dexter wont be with his family but I cant see him wanting to be around for fear that something will happen
to them too. Wow, I wanted her gone but now I am sad for her kids. They lost both of their parents. What will the police think of why Trinity did this to
Dexter's wife? And how will they accept that Dexter wont be tearing up the streets looking for him???

Can someone (anyone) please just spoiler-text what happened? I can't watch for another hour and I am dying to know.

That is how you end a season! AWESOME!! There IS a Santa Claus because my wish for Rita to die came true!
That's the ep they have to submit for the Emmy's. I think Jennifer Carpenter deserves a nom for this season...as well as show and lead actor as usual. |

I think the other 2 kids are gone to the grandparents for good. And Dex is now Harry, to Harrison. Loved how Dex playing the music and ran the train for that fucker Trinity. Great season. |

Stevie Wonder could have seen this coming, i'm surprised so many found it shocking. They better God-damn not bring her back as a ghost, that would be twice
as bad as her alive.
I think her first husband comes back to claim Asteroid, hopefully a blood test will prove Harry Jr. belongs to the neighbor and Cody goes to live with Granny leaving Dexter to be - interesting again! |

Ok, so let me get this straight. As far as the feds know, the murderer of 100 or so people is still alive and on the run. Are we supposed to believe that they
won't interrogate Trinity's family further and others from the construction sites and that "Kyle" will not come up? How could the wife and
son NOT mention the man who was there when the place got raided? It's easy enough for a large group of people to come to an accurate sketch of someone
they've seen numerous times....
I hope they clean this up next season. |

In reality I would imagine that Rita's mom would fight to the death to get the kids from Dexter and that Dexter would not want anything more than to get rid of them. Done. But I would guess that they're going to try to keep all three kids with Dexter on the show. I mean I doubt they'd just ship them off after 4 seasons, especially the baby. |

Astor and Cody may be gone for good but Harrison won't be. I smell a custody battle coming up for him. Of course I could also see Dexter wanting whats best
for Harrison and believing that he isnt what's best for him.
Or he could be thinking of Harrison and his dark passenger's birth and think that he is the only best option for him. I just can't really see him splitting his time between picking the kids up at their many functions, working, and killing people. |

Oh great, I can't wait until they focus on custody battles next season. :c\
Also, I'm kind of irked by the fact that Harrison was sitting in the blood like that. It wasn't just that it was "too perfect," but they make everything fucking cyclical on this show. Deb screws up relationships, Deb/Quinn/Dexter saw lovers come to a violent end, Doakes/Quinn were both the only cops suspicious of Dexter, Harrison follows Dexter's footsteps, etc. etc. How many of these damned coincidences can you have? |

Deb is definitely going to learn about Dexter next season. I think this episode set it up. After the shit she has gone through, it probably won't even
upset her too much. Look at her reaction to the FBI taking over, and it's also telling how everyone else got over Dex being in the garage pretty quickly
while they showed Deb still being suspicious.
I hope they go there and I hope there isn't another "big bad" like Smits or Lithgow next season. It's been done enough now. |

Well I hope all you Rita haters are happy now... Dexter will be saddled with those damn kids next season. Actually, a pretty good epi. Tho I thought Dex lost
it a bit to much and I wonder how he'll clean up the mess Arther made.. Cuz ain't no way he can leave it like that. Maybe he'll take Rita's
body and their son and drop them in the ocean as well and start anew?

Fucking great season from start to finish.
I couldn't stand Rita, but that was still shocking as shit and upsetting nonetheless. |

First off, holy shit that was great. That 'first' ending with Trinity almost brought a tear to my eye, I swear. Moreso than the Rita death. That
just made sense and really fit in well. Like Lithgow said afterwards, makes you run back and watch the last Trinity scene again. New context.
Well, unless Dexter changes Rita's crime scene, Deb's going to connect the dots between her bathtub murder and how Dexter showed up at Trinity's house so quickly before Miami Metro. When has Deb EVER connected the dots? Oh great, I can't wait until they focus on custody battles next season. :c\ I have a feeling, and am almost hoping that they 'handle' some of the details off-screen. Would love to see the season open with it (somehow) explained how 'Kyle' disappeared, Arthur's family, etc. and that Cody & Astor were taken in a custody battle. Just mentions, and move on. Would love to see it just be Dexter again, and working on his relationship with Deb/Harry (Blondie?), trying to do the 'right' thing while sating his dark passenger and evading Deb. That would be enough. Oh, and that Batista/LaGuerta died in a tragic gardening mishap. |

^I agree.
Sure, there are some weak episodes in between, but "Dexter" is probably the only show that I've consistently enjoyed every season of so far. |
