It's a funny experience - they attack you and then you go back and they're like, "Congratulations! Welcome home!" (And then they come up to you and confidentially pull you aside and desperately seek the reason that you voted them off, like it has something to do with them and not the game.) I mean I can see the argument that they would have voted against me for betraying JT. But not if that meant voting for Erinn. Believe me, those people hated Erinn and for the most part liked me. I don't know why this is shocking to people. The REASON we took Erinn to the end w us was because they hated her and she could never win a jury vote. It's not like I'm saying this about Taj, who was our partner from day 1. I can see Taj winning a jury vote against me. I don't think she would have, but I absolutely believe it is feasible. Timbira -hated- Erinn. They thought she always underperformed in challenges - and even though I was no challenge champion, they like respected my nerd effort. And even the things she did well, like puzzles, they didn't give her credit for - they always gave Brendan credit for solving the puzzles. (Even though one of the puzzles - the staircase with the giant blocks - Brendan actually lost for their team. Erinn had it right and Brendan messed it up. But there was some cognitive disconnect at Timbira). I swear to you, if they could have voted off Erinn every vote of the game, they would have. And it wasn't strategic. It was purely personal. I talked to Tyson about this post-game. I said, "If you had just been able to be nice to Erinn, you could have won." And he said, "Yeah, well, that was an impossible task." I mean, Tyson and Erinn are now friends. She's friends with all of them. But during the game - forget it. The other thing is, it was hard for me to differentiate myself from JT because we pulled off all the game's moves together. But had JT not been sitting there, I could have both given him a shout-out - "yes, JT deserves this, that's why I had to vote him out" - and been the only person of the two of us on the mat. ETA: Just so you don't think I'm like overestimating my jury-winning abilities. Some people on the jury have told me that if I had won the F3 challenge and taken JT, they would have voted for me. I 100% believe this is -not- the case. I think it is easy to say out of the heat of the moment and after having watched the show. But I am positive I would have lost to JT. Many thanks for the long thoughtful reply Stephen. I guess no matter how many times I'm told that Timbira hated Erinn it's hard to reconcile that level of animosity with what was presented on the screen. The same with Sierra. Your posts go a long way toward decyphering your season.

The last one before Erinn's boot there's a brief scene of Deb and Sierra making fun of her. And then her first Life at Ponderosa vid, there's a scene of Coach saying how much they can't stand her.

But Coach was "playing" a completely non-strategic "game," if those words can even be used in relationship to him. For him to make it to the end playing the way he did, he would absolutely deserve the million dollars.

Least favorite? Definitely Spencer's boot episode. That was one of our biggest strategic moves, and it sucked that it was presented as "Spencer messed up a challenge!" And of course the finale.

My Tocantins Favorites were Spencer, Sydney and Jerry, and none of them got a decent edit Same with Kelly, Dave, Natalie and Monica this season. Someone totally needs to fire those editors!

Anyway, my JT mania is showing. So I best move on. Question for you, Stephen.Would you ever try to read things into the frequency with which folks were called to confessionals. Did everyone pretty much get called on a regular basis, or where there variations that might be seen as meaningful? For example, it's hard to imagine that Russell gets called to confessionals exactly as often as Brett. Can it be?

Like he was obviously very smart and strategic and a good athlete, but just was lacking a couple years. So he had an interesting hurdle to overcome. He pretty quickly out of the gate set himself up in a great tribal position, but then partially through his own inexperience in dealing with and reading people, it crumbled. It's really too bad that none of that made air!

Do you think he would`ve (or: how likely in %...) smelled a rat once the two of you told Taj to vote for Erinn with the "intention" to vote off Taj, while your actual plan would`ve been to vote with Erinn for JT?
