Stephen was the anything more to Brendan and Sierra relationship than just being in an alliance. In one of the extra Survivor clips Sierra told Debbie they had
a crush on each other.

Well the jury is told to amp up the hostility for final tribal. It's a funny experience - they attack you and then you go back and they're like, "Congratulations! Welcome home!" Many thanks for the long thoughtful reply Stephen. I guess no matter how many times I'm told that Timbira hated Erinn it's hard to reconcile that level of animosity with what was presented on the screen. The same with Sierra. Your posts go a long way toward decyphering your season. |

Another Question for you, Steve:
Why did everyone seem to hate Erinn and Sierra so much? |

Stephen, what is your favorite Tocantins episode to watch again? Least favorite?

caseydillas wrote:You can actually check out the Life at Ponderosa vids for a glimpse inside of that. The last one before Erinn's boot there's a brief scene of Deb and Sierra making fun of her. And then her first Life at Ponderosa vid, there's a scene of Coach saying how much they can't stand her. |

My favorite episodes to watch were the second one (which was when JT and my story got fleshed out, and I made the winning shot in basketbrawl), Sydney's boot episode bc there was some fun Jalapao strategy, and the Tyson boot ep. Least favorite? Definitely Spencer's boot episode. That was one of our biggest strategic moves, and it sucked that it was presented as "Spencer messed up a challenge!" And of course the finale. |

Don't cast teenagers as they lack the necessary social skills. Thank you, assholes in casting, for reading!

I really hate it when Editing F***s up my pre-game favorites. My Tocantins Favorites were Spencer, Sydney and Jerry, and none of them got a decent edit
Same with Kelly, Dave, Natalie and Monica this season. Someone totally needs to fire those editors! |

It was interesting to me that Stephen kept plenty of things from JT all throughout the game, whereas JT had absolutely no secrets from Stephen. It's as if Stephen was able to separate his affection for JT from the need to play the game, while JT couldn't imagine his game without Stephen. Their respective relationships with Brendan was telling, I thought. Stephen had no problems allying, and spooning, with Brendan, even though they were wary of each other's game, while JT never even considered Brendan's -- apparently genuine -- overture. His first instinct was to tell Stephen all about it. I know that the official story that JT's distress at FTC about Stephen's assumed betrayal was an acting job. And maybe it was. But if so, it was method acting. There are a couple of confessionals with JT in the last episode where he ponders Stephen's double dealing with Erinn, and much as he tries to hide his feelings behind the easy smile, there is palpable, unmistakable anguish in those eyes. Anyway, my JT mania is showing. So I best move on. Question for you, Stephen.Would you ever try to read things into the frequency with which folks were called to confessionals. Did everyone pretty much get called on a regular basis, or where there variations that might be seen as meaningful? For example, it's hard to imagine that Russell gets called to confessionals exactly as often as Brett. Can it be? |

So he had an interesting hurdle to overcome. He pretty quickly out of the gate set himself up in a great tribal position, but then partially through his own inexperience in dealing with and reading people, it crumbled. It's really too bad that none of that made air! |

Yeah, not to say you can't be personable and smart at 19 but you'll still be a social moron compared to the rest. Just how it is. I had no read on
Spencer really.

Obviously the Taj vote for Erinn would`ve been easy, but JT must`ve been aware at that point that you might not happily take him to the F2... Do you think he would`ve (or: how likely in %...) smelled a rat once the two of you told Taj to vote for Erinn with the "intention" to vote off Taj, while your actual plan would`ve been to vote with Erinn for JT? |
