Orphan. The first two thirds seemed like a passable thriller but the ludicrous plot twist absolutley ruined it. Terrible movie.
i started 2 threads about it, and everything!

So now we're talking about films which we thought had some potential and turned out to be miserable failures?

4: Smalltime Crooks: Woody can still bring the funny on occasion. But this was unwatchable. 3: SW EPII: Attack of the Clones: I'm not big on Sith either, but the 'plot' of this fucking thing makes absolutely NO fucking sense whatsoever and firmly establishes Jedi as the stupidest people in the galaxy. "Cool! We have a clone army! Just, you know, ignore the fact that the guy them cloners made them out of is standin' over yonder with the bad guys." Of course, they would also go on to 'hide' Luke on the planet his father was born on and not even bother to change his fucking name, so maybe all that was intentional. 2: AI: A clusterfuck of monumental proportions that could've been partially saved if they'd just ended the fucking thing with the kid at the bottom of the ocean. But NO. GOD FORFUCKINGBID A SPIELBERG MOVIE NOT BE AT LEAST 2 AND FUCKING HALF HOURS LONG. 1: I'm Not There. Take the Blanchett pieces and edit them down into a short film, and you'd have something pretty fucking cool. But the rest of it is pure fucking painful-to-watch crap, from ridiculously cliche' dialog and terribly unfunny references to Dylan's career, to a protacted sequence about 2 fucking hours into the thing with Richard fucking Gere as Billy the Kid. Richard Gere. Billy the Kid. I'm still not sure how I managed not to walk the fuck out on that crap. |

Another particularly offensive lump of shit was Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler. I hated his character so much that by the end of the movie I was glad his
family had been killed.

Not that I saw any of 'em - at least the producers of Pearl Harbor had the good decency to wait 60 years before turning monumental tragedy into pop culture. |

Smart People must have been pretty bad. I saw it like 6 weeks ago and for the life of me I can't remember it.

Sith was awesome if only to see how it ended/started.
I thought that was pretty damn cool to see 25 odd years later |

The whole "So now we're talking about films which we thought had some potential and turned out to be miserable failures?" thing doesn't make
sense. I don't expect a movie like Baby Geniuses 2 to be revolutionary or even decent but, if it were on cable and I was bored, I'd hope it would be
watchable. Some movies fail at that.
I'm just gonna list 5 at the top of my head: Armored fear dot com Saw Boat Trip Bratz: The Movie |

The worst movie that I paid to see in the 00's was Transformers. I am usually pretty cautious about what I pay to see since the nearest theater is 60 miles
away.

the movie had a few moments when it actually did resemble the series (Charlotte's NO as Big approached gave me goosebumps) but overall the movie sucked
major ass.
