as The Board's Only Jew im gonna reiterate that hanukkah is inordinately long and overrated AND not really an important holiday (like what did all yall
catholics do for ascension this year? same deal) AND why on earth would you want to spend time with your jewish family eating jewish food :hurl:

i dunno pappy, "i don't wanna come to your bday party" could piss even Jesus off. it's not Him though, it's me. i'm tired.

I say we forget the whole Jesus thing and go back to celebrating the season the way the Pagan's did for the Winter Solstice. We would keep Santa of course
cause it's just plain silly not too.

Wait, but technically God should be unbiased in the Christmas vs. Hanukkah smackdown. And really, you should lean toward the Jews. Otherwise you went and got
your son nailed to a cross to advertise yourself, which is not very nice.

JasonSiskaLulz wrote: Is hanukkah an unimportany holiday to little Jewish kids? I had a Jewish co-worker at one time whose family gathered on Christmas Day for Christmas Dinner. Reasons: Her mother worked in retail, so it was the first and only day off she'd had in about 2 weeks. All stores are closed, so you can't go shopping. There's nothing on TV. I asked her what they ate for Christmas Dinner. She looked at me like I was crazy and said, "turkey with all the trimmings." |
