"The thing is, like, Spencer's gonna go next anyway, so why does it matter if Sandy goes first? Like, it's three days," Erinn then says to
Tyson. --> horrible strategy, 3 days does matter.. too cocky
Erinn says, "I know; it's like we can't even have a normal conversation." --> Iduno I thought this was bitchy, since we're supposed to really like Sandy. Tyson bluntly says that eliminating Sandy first would be a mistake. "The thought of voting for Sandy doesn't make much sense to me, and Carolina and Erinn are pretty adamant about it," Tyson explains to the camera. "You know, I'm like a genie in a bottle. I can only grant you three wishes. I mean, I'm not gonna let them make the decision every time." --> they're both being bossy. If you just said 'Carolina', then I would have saved Erinn from the N, but they're both in on it together, both N, to me. I hated Erinn on Tocantins (mainly because of the fantards) but I really like her in your fic. She's bright, she's normal, and she's rootable. This episode definitely dropped my support for her. I thought she came across as arrogant, bitchy, and stupid. Carolina, though, got more N treatment. Erinn was kind of like the Lisi to Stacey in Episode 5: not front centre N, but associated and mentioned. |

Hi chapera rocks! Thank you for your comments and for being the first to reply yet again! You have a pretty good streak
going! As always, I enjoyed reading your thoughts! :)
I enjoyed reading the comments throughout the episode... Six against Two: Great scene to build up the anticipation. I feel like Taj is going to go for Tyson this episode. However, Tyson may win immunity forcing Spencer to sell out Taj and get her canned. But since Spencer doesn't trust Taj, that could happen regardless of whether Tyson wins immunity or not.Thanks. Glad you liked this scene. I find the post-TC scenes to be hit or miss. Sometimes I have an easy time writing them and sometimes they're tough. Alone time: Loved this one. It started off with Spencer's will to stay in the game, which is nice I guess, but we've seen it. Makes me think he's got a better chance at the end since his story is full of doubt, but the same can't be said for Tyson. But while Spencer is the better "edgic" pick I'm sticking with Tyson as my personal pick because I hate to change so late in the game. Sandy's really scrambling hard, which I love. Very smart idea, and I had forgotten about Taj talking with Sandy the previous episode, so I guess Sandy will get to Tyson before Spencer will. You're right. Spencer has a lot of doubt about how he can possibly get to the end. I would say that Tyson has doubt too. He's so out there that you think people can't possibly let him get to the end - I'd equate it with Russell's situation in the current season. Again, I'm happy you liked this scene too. :D The Underdogs: I really thought that I wouldn't want to see Sandy/Spencer get to the end, just because on the real survivor, we've had Jalapao and now Foa Foa turn the game around. I still hope they don't both make it to the end, but I wouldn't mind seeing their alliance succeed.I can understand this. Because this season was finalized after the real one, this is the very reason that I didn't flip the game at F9 and have Carolina-Erinn-J.T.-Spencer-Sandy take over until F5. Spencer/Sandy getting to the end would be a little different because it would be two people pulling something off, not an entire tribe. Capoeira reward: Great, more doubt! Love it. The power hungryness of these people is ramping up. Definitely not a fan of Carolina anymore. STFU. I think Taj is being set up to go though. It's too bad I couldn't get more of the actual reward into this. But it was a good place to have these four people together to discuss who would go next between Spencer/Sandy. You're exactly right and I don't think this was clear, but this is why Taj wanted to go for Tyson again because she realized that he would definitely be in control if Carolina went out. You ruined my blindside: LOVED THIS SCENE! Very well written, lots of paranoia, great strategizing, amazing buildup. Very, very, very well written.Thank you. I liked this scene too. One thing that's a little weird is that I feel like there's almost always the same people who do all the talking and another person is just *there.* Like, it's usually Taj involved and Jerry is just accompanying. Carolina/Erinn have varied but it's been Carolina more lately. Tyson does most of the talking for him/Candace and then Spencer/Sandy vary, but usually Spencer does most of the strategizing. But other than that, I agree with you on this scene and I tried to keep it unpredictable at the end. Tribal council: Fantastic. Love the inserted comments between the votes. Carolina is smug, Sandy/Spencer handled it right. Terrible move for Taj to announce it'd be a blindside if she wanted it to be a blindside, it just threw Carolina/Erinn into a tizzy.Definitely agree with you that Taj should not have made that comment. Even Tyson maybe shouldn't have said what he said because Sandy clearly wasn't after him. But C/E will definitely be stirring things up next week now. Thank you very much for the 10! I really appreciate that. It's definitely a good way to start off. :) Good question. No, they don't. Taj made a comment in the last episode that "Tyson doesn't have an idol to save himself" so they know no one can pull out an idol. Next season in Samoa, though, there will be idols and they will have some impact on the season because I have some new/different scenarios for them again. Thanks a lot for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll. Erinn/Carolina try to revive new Timbira, but Spencer finds himself in the middle because Sandy wants to go with Candace/Tyson. Carolina goes, leaving Erinn/Jerry blindsided.Your predictions are always very good, and that definitely sounds like a plausible scenario. Interesting to see how that changes. Glad Erinn still gets a 10, though. Finally, excellent job on your Edgic ratings! I agree with most of them and they're close to what I intended. The only two I kindof have a different idea of are Spencer/Sandy because I think they might both be OTT, rather than CP. For one, their content was repetitive, they got the "never give up" type confessionals and their strategizing was focused just on saving themselves. Plus, Sandy had additional simplification as crazy/annoying/paranoid, which is why I'd put her as OTTM and Spencer as OTTP. Thank you for your Contenders/ Eliminated lists. The end is almost near - only 4 more episodes until we see how it plays out. Thanks again for all of your great comments, chapera rocks! Hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great night! :) |

Hi cirie is queen! Thank you very much for reading and commenting on the episode! I'm glad to see you enjoyed it!
:)
nice epidose but i waan'd blindsid for TysonI'm sure that Tyson will remain a big target due to the fact that he is a huge threat and everyone must know it. Even though it might seem like a bad move for Spencer/Sandy, it was the first time where they were able to have some control over what happened - it wasn't just Tyson deciding that move. Great! Glad the strategizing was well liked. Hopefully it left a lot of uncertainty leading into Tribal Council. Thank you for the 9. :D Finally, thanks for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll! A nice variety of high and low numbers there. Thanks again for your comments. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great night! :) |

I can see OTTP for Spencer, but I really think Sandy is CPP. Because while she was a bit cooky, her primary role this episode was flipping the script. Her
scrambling was rationalized very well at tribal council and made Carolina look dumb. Carolina was the one to hate on her, but we were supposed to hate
Carolina.
She explained why she would look out for Spencer, why Taj had to go compared to Tyson. I just felt we got in her head and knew exactly how she was thinking. |

Candace - MOR2 Mostly narration this time. Carolina - OTTN2 Chart says 3, but I swear she was only in one scene and Tribal. Lots of negative SPV to make her increase her N. Erinn - UTR2 Nice cooldown for her, mostly in Carolina's shadow when shown. Jerry - UTR1 Continues his low profile since the merge. Sandy - CPP4 The Tyson/Sandy scenes were pure CP for both of them IMO, and Carolina/Erinn's SPV was negated by her other scenes so M seems to not fit. Spencer - OTTP4 Lots of character development here, but He's definately a distraction now. Taj - CP(N?)4 Chart says 3 but she was always there this time around. Spencer is now the obvious distraction, and is the perfect one for top contender Sandy. Jerry is too UTR. Carolina is too OTT. And logically impossible. Hi r0ry101! Thank you very much for your comments on the episode! As always, you bring up some great points and I enjoyed reading what you had

A really strong episode I think, enjoyed it a lot, and loved the fact tribal council seemed quite unpredictable going in. Personally, I think Spencer/Sandy were stupid to keep Tyson, who obviously has the most power. I think this episode confirms to me Tyson wins, I just think everytime he gets targetted someone is there to save him - so I think thius'll continue up until he wins. Cannot wait for the next episode as it really seems like anything will happen! Thanks. Very happy to see that you liked it and thought the Tribal Council was pretty up in the air. Interesting opinion on the Taj vote. It always seems that, every season, someone says that I'm keeping a particular player around. Last season I believe it was Dan. I don't really think of it in that way, but I can see the point. Tyson might win, but like Russell in Samoa, I think other people would be making a mistake to allow him to even get that far. I'll be working away on Episode 10 in the hopes of getting it up ASAP. My goal was the 20th, but I forgot that was the Samoa finale. We'll see. Candance and Tyson arguing at the reward Must have meant Carolina here. But glad you liked that part! :) Thanks a lot for the 9.5. I appreciate that! Thanks a lot for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll! A nice variety of high and low numbers there! Finally, thank you for your Edgic ratings and Contenders/ Eliminated lists. Those are all very close to what the consensus ratings will be, I think, and I'm glad that you gave Candace a CP. I thought this was her most CP episode yet but I think she's still going to end up with MOR... 3. Spencer - I think his story seems more about growth then winning. Not necessarily growth, but it's a familiar overly P edit that I seem to have had before. Thanks again for your comments, r0ry101! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! Hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! :D |

Hello DarrahColleenJerri! Thanks for your comments! I'm glad you liked the episode, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your
thoughts! :)
Liked it. Thought the unpredictability of who would go was good even though underneath all the fluff I knew it'd be Taj and not the entertainment of the season Carolina and Tyson.Thanks. I think we needed a more unpredictable episode after Coach and J.T. both went out (nearly) unanimously. Based on last episode's edit, Taj's boot wasn't as shocking as I initially expected it to be. Sometimes I struggle with that because I want shocking, but I also want it to make sense. Therefore, without Taj's build-up in Episode 8, this would have been more unpredictable, but certainly more out of the blue as well. Spencer calling Jerry whats-his-face. So lolz. Yeah, he's been pretty insignificant but next week will be a good episode for him again. Thanks for the 8. I'm happy with that. :) SPENCER. You had a Jeff's blog moment I think just before about the we're supposed to like Spencer. I'm partial to him but certainly don't see the "wow factor" I think you're possibly going for. I think I've been saying for about the last 4 episodes that you're supposed to like him, lol. He's one of the underdogs now. I'm not sure there's supposed to be a "wow factor." I mean, Spencer is what he is. He's not the most exciting personality around, but he's pleasant and he's making the best of his situation. I hoped people would root for him and Sandy. Thank you for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll! I'm glad to see some higher numbers there. The 9 for Sandy is nice. :) Finally, thanks a lot for those excellent Edgic ratings! They are all very close to what I was going for and I think most of those will end up being the consensus. Great job! :) CANDACE: NOT CP ENOUGH. I agree with you. I kinda wanted her to be CP this week but I don't think that will happen. There's other times when she's been very borderline, though, but I know that's not enough if it doesn't show up on the chart. Thanks again for all of your comments, DarrahColleenJerri! Very nice to read what you think every week. Hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! Hi AveryC! Thanks a lot for your comments on the episode! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and to be very thorough and

Liked it a lot, probably the best episode since the merge happened. Thank you very much! I'm glad to hear that. :) The post immunity strategy and the unusual reward scene. Thanks. I'm pleasantly surprised that a few people have mentioned the Reward. A 10 :) Thanks for the 10! I'm very happy with that! :D Thanks a lot for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll! Spencer - 5 (There's a reason for this. He just came off as very petty in purely not booting Tyson this time around because Taj didn't go for it last time. I was reminded of Todd not voting out James at the Final Nine in China purely because Jean Robert dared to have the same idea as him. My support for JT seems to have gone towards Sandy instead, so hopefully he'll stick around for her sake at least.) That's a valid point. Yes, it was intentionally petty that Spencer held it against Taj and I think that's a good comparison to Todd/Jean-Robert/James. Finally, thanks for your excellent Edgic ratings and for giving your thoughts on each of them. Lots of good points here, once again. Candace - MOR2 Mostly narration this time. True - it's strategy-related, but you're right that it's mostly narration. I agree with you then. Not enough for CP. Carolina - OTTN2 Chart says 3, but I swear she was only in one scene and Tribal. Lots of negative SPV to make her increase her N. Yeah, she was really only in the Reward and then had a confessional before Tribal, and 3 TCQs. However, she got A LOT of SPV in multiple scenes so I think a 3 is justified. Jerry - UTR1 Continues his low profile since the merge. Yes, but not next week, thankfully. With Taj gone, he can finally be shown again. Sandy - CPP4 The Tyson/Sandy scenes were pure CP for both of them IMO, and Carolina/Erinn's SPV was negated by her other scenes so M seems to not fit. Okay, I can understand the CP now even though my original thought was OTT(M). Taj - CP(N?)4 Chart says 3 but she was always there this time around. Lots of strategy oriented confessionals. Possible N? I think it will be a close call but I intended N. I even considered that she might be OTT as well. 1. Sandy still. She went even further ahead of her Edgic rivals this time. I agree that her edit has been pretty good overall. I wish I could have improved the first episode so that it would be more on par with the more recent ones because it's admittedly difficult to get an accurate depiction of Sandy in that episode. Carolina is too OTT. And logically impossible. I'd have to say you're right. I don't think there's any way she can win. I'm kinda disappointed in myself that she's never gotten a CPN though. She has been strategic at times. Hmm... Candace has been allied with the person who has the most tone, but has very little herself. She's too tied to him right now to be a winner. She almost got a M last week. It's tough to see her one way or the other, but it could be a good thing that she's isolated from Tyson's N, similar to Erinn from Carolina. Thanks again for all of your great comments, AveryC! You definitely bring up some insightful points and I enjoyed reading what you had to say! Hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! :) |
