I said that Vee didn't have the biggest role in the John boot. That was clearly Neleh, but I talked about that in her write up that I did like 10 years ago
lolol
Vee, unlike Danielle and Cassandra, actually won so that gives her a little bit (JUST a little bit) of boost over the two of them. |

yeah V won but i still think danielle and cassandra played much better.
question: this is the best GAMES ever played, so that means that someone can show up twice for two different seasons such as cirie and amanda? |

I think V played a good game, but she wasn't that great tbh.
She wanted Neleh out at the final 4, when she was probably the only one V could beat in the finals. She got very lucky when Paschal drew the rock instead. |

She probably had almost as good of a shot against Paschal in the Final 2, because he turned on the Rotu 4, too. She also had a better shot of beating him in an
endurance challenge, but that ended up not mattering.

I just came across this thread last night and have had a great time catching up on it. I love the idea of looking at the game rather than the player, and am
enjoying your write ups--thank you for writing 'em up.
I absolutely agree that Dreamz is an underrated player--but looking at his whole game, I don't see it as better than the game of many players that didn't make such major goofs, too (Cassandra and Earl, easy to compare to, for example). Dreamz definitely deserves an award for most improved player. (Hey--most improved players! Has that been done? If not feel free to run with it anyone--I need to stick to my lurking and commenting in this phase of my life.) Also I want to point out that Earl, who I lovelovelove though I know that isn't popular here, was drafted for the show days before it began. Though that doesn't reflect on his game, as a player he had a remarkable learning curve. Lastly loved your look at Tina and Colby's games next to each other--that was one place where the game comparision shined. |

Just been reading this list and even though I don't agree with everything that's been included I've found the write ups to be fair and rational.
It's been a very good read.
I'll comment on who you've ranked so far: Earl: I would definitely rank him in my Top Ten (maybe even Top 5). Based on the write up I'm curious how he ended up lower than Cassandra and especially Dreamz. Steph: Steph is interesting because most people would either put her very high (which wouldn't be right) or very low (which is obviously wrong too). She makes sense here, although I think women like Teresa/Peih Gee furfilled the same role to an extent. Neleh: She definitely deserves credit for being a part of such a significant moment in the game's strategic history, but she doesn't really compare to Vecepia and Kathy (who probably isn't appearing I'm guessing). Tina: Personally she's my number 2 of all time and best woman. The write does her justice though despite not really matching the placement (like with earl). Colby: Colby's right where he should be, he really shouldn't be punished over one single decision, big as it was. Ami: Here's the thing with Ami for me. If the women had indeed voted out Chris at the Final 7, the pecking order was definitely suited more towards Leann than Ami (since Ami/Leann/Julie would've been the Final 3 and Leann was therefore guaranteed the Finals). Plus although Leann outed Scout's position in front of Ami and she was clearly shocked, what did Ami do about it? Not a damn thing. She didn't reassure Scout, she didn't speak up to Scout later on, she didn't make any attempt to fix it. She loses huge points for that from me. Cassandra: The problem with Cassandra is that she had an longevity strategy, but not a winning strategy. There's a clear difference between the two. Also I'd argue her jury speech is the worst ever, considering her points included her maternal instincts and her inability to swim. She had no chance either way, but she deserved no votes based on her performance. Danielle: Like Cassandra I don't feel she had a winning strategy but a longevity strategy. I know her original plan was with Cirie and Bruce, but they would've beaten her too. Dreamz: A very suprising inclusion for me. My interpretation of Dreamz is that he had no real rationality in how he approached the game, and his social game was all kinds of awful. And it's kinda pointless to make Final Two arguments since if Fiji was a Final Two he wouldn't have lasted past four because the challenge order would've been switched up. The Final Four and Three challenges shift up a place and a different challenge is at the Final 5 (unless rthe new challenge is the Final Six one and Boo wins that with Dreamz going 3-2).. Whoever of Dreamz/Boo doesn't win is out (Earl would've given Yau the idol at this point since he still needed him). At Four Yau Man wins the blindfolded Maze challenge. If Dreamz survived the previous tribal he needs Cassandra to force a tie and to beat Earl in the tiebreaker. It would've been a longshot. Ken: I only just watched Gabon recently for the first time and I actually wouldn't put anybody from that season on a list like this except maybe Susie. Everyone else made easily avoidable mistakes at some point. I liked him lot though and he's top two for that season gameplay wise. Vecepia: I think her placement is about right, most likely I'd have her higher than here. The only real issue is the Purple Rock thing, and where I'd rank Kathy on a list like this. |

Thanks for reading!
The thing about Earl is that he only won because of a Final 3. If you think about it, he didn't really make any moves post-merge. That was all Cassandra and Dreamz. He would also be screwed without the HII's. He's just the kind of guy who would go far in any season, but after the Final 6, he only made the Final 4 because of Yau's idol and then his idol. He only made the Finals because of the Final 3 twist, and he largely won by default, seeing as more than half the jury hated both Dreamz and Cassandra. He won unanimously so I guess he must have done something right. oh, dabest, sorry I didn't see your question earlier. Yes, since this is best GAMES ever played, people can show up twice. At least one person does. |

I think survivoristhebest is jaliss of me, and she has a Napolean complex. This crazy person is trying to assault me, with her red x's. How rude. I'm just minding my own business, keeping my head down, working around the camp. |

those red X's are a good thing, so he's probably openly envious that he's not as randomly dramatic as you. You two must be the best of frands ^_^
