It probably is, but more of a focus on both members of the couple being messed up (typically, both are, but Tool Academy focuses on the guys). It probably
won't have eliminations either.
Still waiting for a gay version, but they'd probably fear all the guys would hook up with one another. |

Yeah, Tool Academy is sorta the male version of Tough Love, but really they should consider doing a TL version for single men with the MILF as the host
instead. Doubt any of the guys would bother listening to Steve, but maybe the MILF can do the trick or just someone else totally different.

In regards to gay couples, the Tool Academy 3 casting specifically requested same-sex couples, so it's a strong possibility there. As far as Tough Love:
Couples (which sounds great!) no way it'll happen - Steve and his mom specialize in female/male relationships and mainly on the female side anyway.

Tool Academy with gays will be incredibly awesome and horrible. You know the tools would hook up with one another.
I figured they specialize in male/female, which is too bad. I'd even like to see a male version, where even if it's heterosexual couples, they focus on the guys (which I know is kind of like Tool Academy, but I don't see the girls on Tough Love anywhere near the level of douchiness on Tool Academy). |

Yeah, I'd like to see a more serious version of Tool Academy (Tough Love with men) as well. The fact that there aren't eliminations on Tough Love also helps up the ante for the "real" factor of the relationships instead of them just playing for cameras. TA3 won't be all gay (the casting asked for everything) so I bet *at most* there'll be two gay couples. Still wouldn't be surprised if both gay tools hooked up, though.
