if that was an attempt at humor that was a very poor effort twisty. (the drabek line)

actually it was a successful attempt at mocking StarRider. |

StarRider |

About as succesful as the last couple of Mets seasons then.

If that other deal goes through, pretty soon twisted will be sitting on the cock of the Bay
wasting time.... :snort |

Mark Feinsand has reported that the Yankees kicked the tires but have no interest in Bay. Furthermore, Buster Olney has reported that the Yanks aren't
bidding on either Bay or Holliday.
May be something having to do with his 5 year demand and Carl Crawford's 2011 free agency looming. |

Crawford will look good in pinstripes...
we need a pitcher.....no way Burnett and Pettitte stay healthy all year again...not to mention Hughes and Joba don't exactly spread confidence as the 4th and 5th starters... |

Joba should pitch better as a starter this year, in theory. The Joba Rules will no longer be in effect, so the mind games from that shouldn't be the issue.
Joba has to remember his success came from attacking the hitters instead of nibbling.
Hughes will remain in the 8th unless they begin to prepare him to start in 2011. I'd like to see Crawford in CitiField. He is built for that ballpark but if (big if) Mets get Bay, that rules out Crawford. |

Hey wahddaya know...the White Sox actually made an offseason move and signed Juan Pierre. So, no more Scotty Pods and a
completely made-over outfield for next year.
Potential White Sox Lineup 2010 LF Juan Pierre SS Alexi Ramirez 1B Paul Konerko RF Carlos Quentin 2B Gordon Beckham DH Mark Kotsay/Andruw Jones 3B Mark Teahan CF Alex Rios C AJ Pierzynski On paper a muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better team than what they started last year with. |

WHite Sox, mariners, Red sox all are tougher already.
Personally, I would love Crawford and Greinke on the Yanks |

I have no reason to doubt Omar so I'm sure he'll be lights out. |

the toronto sun reporter just tweeted that someone in the trade flunked their physical...heres hoping its outman but my guess is its either halladay or drabek

Drabek (that's Kyle for starrider) I think once had Tommy John surgery. We'll see if Bob Elliot has any tweet updates.
Twzted, you really think starrider hounds a Phillies Blog? He's too busy refreshing metsblog.com |

drabek had the TJ surgery and halladay was hurt during the middle of the season IIRC

One of the minor leaguers failed their physical.
A source close to Adrian Gonzalez reports that he believes he will be traded to the Red Sox within 10 days. Likely for Buchholz and Ellsbury. |
