Mark Feinsand has reported that the Yankees kicked the tires but have no interest in Bay. Furthermore, Buster Olney has reported that the Yanks aren't
bidding on either Bay or Holliday.
May be something having to do with his 5 year demand and Carl Crawford's 2011 free agency looming. |

Crawford will look good in pinstripes...
we need a pitcher.....no way Burnett and Pettitte stay healthy all year again...not to mention Hughes and Joba don't exactly spread confidence as the 4th and 5th starters... |

Joba should pitch better as a starter this year, in theory. The Joba Rules will no longer be in effect, so the mind games from that shouldn't be the issue.
Joba has to remember his success came from attacking the hitters instead of nibbling.
Hughes will remain in the 8th unless they begin to prepare him to start in 2011. I'd like to see Crawford in CitiField. He is built for that ballpark but if (big if) Mets get Bay, that rules out Crawford. |

A source close to Adrian Gonzalez reports that he believes he will be traded to the Red Sox within 10 days. Likely for Buchholz and Ellsbury. |
