After watching last night's episode, with most of the routines that I thought were wonderful, one thing annoyed me to no end and that was old uncle Nigel trying desperately to sway voting how he wants. I fucking hate that deluded old prick. Honestly. How far does he have to go to keep pimping Russell like he's a god of dance or some shit like that. SHUT the FUCK up. It was annoying to have to hear his so called critiques when he simply has no balance at all. Whoever is partnered with Russell pretty much gets the shaft and it';s up to the other judges to have to give them some praise. Ashleigh was incredible in all of her routines. Does Nigel say shit about her after last week's weep fest? No, he doesn't and he doesn't say shit about Ryan either. In his eyes they got through on pity votes and has been subtly putting them down by not really saying too much about them and more about whoever they are partnered with. I thought Russell did great in all of his routines in fact but there had to be some balance and Niglel praising the fuck out of him over almost everyone else was ridiculous. And of course... who gets the pimp spot of the night in his own style?

Kathryn was really good as well and I thought she did great in her first two routines. The last one with Russell was not bad but it was mostly the Russell show at that point, unfortunately for her. I felt it was odd that she was suddenly getting so much praise that night because she had never really been that propped up with the comments before this aside from last week where she just kicked ass. I got the feeling she was praised so much in an attempt to push Ashleigh down and get voters voting for her rather than Ashleigh like Nigel was afraid Ashleigh might win.

Jakob also stood out as he always has with his athleticism and great lines. He's the best male dancer left by far. All of his routines were good too. In fact, I really loved all the jazz/lyrical jazz/contemporary routines. They were all so good. I think the one that stood out with emotion was of course Ryan and Ashleigh finally dancing together and Travis did an exquisite piece for them (unlike that overpraised mess he did last week). I loved it and you could just see the emotion radiating from them. It should ahve been the last routine with all that buildup and Nigel needs to shut the fuck up about them simply doing well enough that they deserved to get through on last week's pity votes or however he put it. That was a great routine and danced amazingly well. Nothing needed to be added to it.
