You people make me feel heartless! The only thing on TV that makes me cry are those Sarah Mclachlan ads for the ASPCA. And though I enjoy the show, I honestly
can't imagine being moved enough by an episode of Criminal Minds to as much as crinkle my brow.
Matthew Gray Gubler's directing an episode of the show in January- his PhD is in film/directing. I'll be interested to see if he puts a noticeable thumbprint on the episode. Hopefully, he'll have a better storyline to work with than that last one. |

Okay, this is sad, but while reading the complaints about how the ending of last week's epi sucked, I realized that I don't remember the ending.
Anyone?

"The unsub is at Anne's house and she is struggling with him in the hallway. As he is coming after her with a knife, the FBI kicks in the door. As the
unsub lies on the floor, an openly hostile Prentiss holds a gun to his head and thrashes out what his life will be like in prison."
I think most people were disappointed/ amazed/suprised at the venom in Prentiss' little tirade to him about becoming someones bitch in prison...like, where did it come from and why did no one stop her? |

i think the tirade came from the fact that Haley was just killed in her own house, same as these women. and in the epi, Prentiss makes a comment that a woman
should be able to feel safe in her own home.
as a single female that lives alone for the most part, i totally get that sentiment. home invasion is a big, real fear. i take lots of precautions, but it is still a scary thought. just a theory, though. |

I agree, Jelly. But I also agree with Pixie - why was she not reprimanded? Why did no one confront that behaviour?
It will be interesting to see how Haley's death haunts them though. |

Or that it was totally out of character, and the acting was just kind of bad. She looked and sounded uncomfortable doing it, which made it worse.

Does anyone know where I can watch Criminal Minds online?

I have never watched online, hopefully someone knows.
I do agree jelly that women should feel safe at home, but especially as an FBI agent that has seen what she has seen, Prentis knows that womoen are not safe. She has seen the worst case senarios lots of times. She should be used to it (or she will burn out), maybe she did just snap... |

Did they change the cinematography people on this show? It looked way different in the last episode.

I thought it had a different feel to it.

Elle must have demanded more story line... she did emote a bit

There are certain crimes where cops have trouble restraining the human impulse to choke the shit out of perps. Child beaters/fuckers, vicious spousal assaults, sex crimes, and home invasions. In Toronto in the early 90s a spat of home invasions by Vietnamese gangs against Chinese immigrants were happening, same thing with Jamaican drug gangs robbing civilians and opponents alike. The response by police was exceptionally heavy handed, deliberately so. I experienced that, and the talk by cops was an exceptional anger. When people are victims of rapes in their home, or robbed, or ivnaded for extortion, they almost always move out. A home invasion, IMHO, can be as invasive as a rape psychologically. |

Liked this weeks' episode. Prentiss seems to be acting out of character and I wonder if there is going to be a change in the future.

I was wondering that as well. We will probably either find out she has had something happen to her in the past, or she will go the way of Sarah Sidle on CSI
and kind of burn out.
