I think this episode eliminated Jaison, as much as I hate to say it. You guys have been telling me he's been getting a redemption arc for a while now, but
I never saw signs of it, because we didn't see any real redemption, just a change in personality. But that confessional on the reward about finally
winning something. That REALLY hurt him, I think.

BlakeB717 wrote:Oh yes guys, his one confessional is so winner-like in the penultimate episode. We can't count out Mick yet!!! And what did Natalie get? Hmmm... - Yet ANOTHER jury tie, that makes Monica, Kelly, Brett (if he should join the jury, which is something bound to happen set up by the editing), Laura, and if I recall, while watching the Ponderosa videos, I thought I heard Erik say he believed Natalie was the gamer. That's 5. - Detailed confessionals outlining her ideas of what to do with Brett and her ideas with Russell. - We also see Natalie's loyalty. Even though we see Russell is worried for Natalie's loyalty, we know that Natalie is still true to Russel and has been since day 1. And Natalie's tie with Russell is obviously beneficial to Natalie at this point. |

Mick's answer at TC: saying he's played just as aggressively as Russell.. I'm surprised that there wasn't any "WTF" looks by jurors
or players, or *DONG* noises when statements like that are made. Even in the recap, they made Mick look like the decider there... he's being editted as way
better a gamer than he obviously is.
Why does Natalie never get TCQs!? |

BlakeB717 wrote:Lol oh my jesus Blake. If Mick is a two, Natalie is NOT a three. And P?! Wtf?! If anyone is P it's Natalie and Brett, we get NO tone from Mick whatsoever, and remember those collective edits you spoke out against awhile back in edgic regarding Natalie's first episode being linked to Ashley? But wait! Mick is collectively edited to be P with Natalie and Brett even though he was INV1 at the time of Brett and Natalie getting that tone!! |

Shambo tonight - THAT is an OTTM exit.
Loved how the nastiest confessionals about her in the whole game came from her supposed # 1 ally - yes Shambitch your mullet is ugly, your breathe stinks when you get in people's face, and you'd get no votes from the jury. For tonight is the penultimate episode. And prepare to write-off whoever is looking golden by the end of it. It's a draw. Mick was explicitly the one to beat. Natalie talks about how Likeable he and Brett are, Russell wants to target him as a threat, yet he survives Aras-like because he's needed to beat Brett. Surely he can't lose if Baby Face Terry is booted, right? However, if you look deeper, Natalie's bond with Brett, her independence in picking him, and her Christian links with the Galu God Squad (Laura), should make her the winner. And she did get more airtime (quality and quantity) than Mick. Danni 2.0 wins - another UTR Christian girl from the Bible Belt.

No major thoughts on ratings yet, because I plan to watch the episode again either tonight or in the morning. Does anyone recall when our ratings our due for this episode? Also, let me note that, despite seeing Marisa again (*fans self*) that finale preview was the shittiest thing that this rather craptacular season has given us. Really, that's supposed to make me want to tune in for the finale? Really??? Another side note: Kelly is one smokin' girl. I loooooovvvvved her outfit at TC tonight, though I wish she had saved it for the FTC so we could get a better view of it in all its glory. <3 From my point of view, I think that the main contenders (even if you extend those to anyone who's not Brett) pretty much continued what they've already started. Jaison continued in his rehearsed confessionals filled with slightly P content, Russell continued his monotony of CPN domination, and Mick continued his relentlessly MOR drive straight into the finale (and thanks to all the SPV that involved more than just his name - we learned a lot about what others think of Mick as a player and person this episode, as compared to SPV about sending Kelly home at the F11 - he is not UTR). However, Natalie turned her edit in a completely new direction. I think that OTTP is applicable at first glance, though CPP may be a fit upon a second viewing. While she stayed within the "I am letting myself be played by Russell" yet distancing herself from him as a P character region, she transcended her season-long UTR status to become a truly large character. What does this mean??? As Blake said earlier, the penultimate episode says a lot; unfortunately, we don't know exactly what it says. We can look at past winners' patterns and figure them out, but I think that Natalie is being dangled before us as bait to distract us from the other winner. Either Mick will triumph as one of the most UTR male winners we've had, possibly due to Russell's overabundance of visibility and possible domination at a FTC, or Jaison will emerge as a slightly skewed but more traditional CP male winner. The fact that we're convinced Natalie is with Russell 100% going into the finale and that Brett winning IC's is the only thing to prevent it makes me worry that the finale won't be as simple as her waltzing into the FTC and traipsing out with the money. Buuuutttt... I thought the same thing with Bob. |

BlakeB717 wrote: Since when did Edgic become about what WASN'T edited in? I'm going to make Mick's edit better because the editors didn't decide to include this or that? That makes no sense. We rate them based on what the episodes show us. And this episode showed us that Mick was UTR1 until the IC, and afterward he had one confessional and one TCQ, we weren't shown him scrambling to stay or anything that even made us care about him either way. He was not MORP2, it was a straight UTR2. That seems really biased. Please tell me what P aspects there were of his edit (besides Russell saying that both him & Brett were likable guys). You say Natalie was M because of the God stuff, yet the only time it was brought up, it was P confessionals by herself and Brett. Nobody had anything negative to say about it. There was no N reinforcement from the editing, at all. |

I've only done 1 watch on a choppy feed. Those were guesstimate ratings, astro. I won't have my chart updated until midnight eastern.

You said a CPP would be best for Mick's edit, but now your content with the edit (or lack there of) he got tonight...Why would I change my pick? I'm quite satisfied with his edit. I will not change my pick because I think Mick has the best edit. You guys should not change your picks if you think your pick is the best edit. What is with everyone tonight? My lord.. |
