An M rating is a balance between P and N and the religious stuff was certainly OTT but there was no N intent in any of it -- no N SPV, it was shown to bond Brett & Natalie together, and even when the 'prayer warriors' lost, Natalie still made an effort to congratulate the winning team. How is ANY of that N? Natalie was P.

I just thought it reeked of master/slave and didn't look well on either member of the duo, and they both had pretty deceptive ideas "This is just what we wanted!" I can see P, but I just felt she was M. She was definitely CP, though. If anyone feels the religious stuff was OTT, then give Nat a MOR since her CP moments were offset by OTT ones.

All 3 members of FoaFoa were shown turning on Mick, and then Mick got a confessional at the end about being anxious and vulnerable. I think we were supposed to feel bad for him since he's been very loyal (per his TCQ); but, that's just me. Like scep, I've given him plenty more Ps than the majority, but I'll sleep at night.

They're shown a lot on screen together, but we've never heard their actual thoughts on the other one. There's no insight or strategy on their relationship to go on. And there was nothing MOR about Natalie's edit, even if you want to go so far as to say OTT + CP = MOR. That would be way inaccurate in representing her edit for this episode. The religious stuff was presented in an OTT manner but it was shown as what bonded her & Brett together and then what bonded their team together during the RC. There were no confessionals about anyone backing it up in one way or another, so it was part of the storyscape, not Natalie's actual intended edit. They couldn't really cut it out anyway since it was prevalent to be heard in the background during Jaison's turn, and they had to show every single turn in this challenge, so it was unavoidable. The events were OTT, the editing of it made more sense in the grand scheme of things due to what we had seen before that and how it played into the challenge. It developed Natalie as a person, it developed her relationship with Brett, and then she got all that strategy talk. Very clear cut CPP, not CPM or MOR. Blake, the "entire episode was Mick and Brett... so strong... so likeable". Not really. They mentioned it in a strictly strategical way and Mick was UTR1 up until that confessional. He was stating the obvious and that was it. Monica said Shambo was a jury threat and a hard worker last episode but did you give Shambo a P for it?

Mick confessional, Episode 3: Russ and Liz want to take out Ashley, but I'm definitely loyal to Jaison on screen together but strategic one-on-one: Mick/Jaison discussing how Ben thinks he's badass, Mick/Jaison discussing Russell taking them, Mick/Jaison discussing whether Sham will be pissed if they vote John There is loyalty between Jaison and Mick. It's been shown in the early episodes.

Right now they seem to have a Becky/Sundra edit as opposed to a JT/Stephen edit. They're shown together, and we see that they are close, but there is nothing new to reinforce it. Even I didnt remember that EP 3 confessional. I doubt casual viewers would as well. ON the flipside however Russell and Natalie are constantly being told to us "They're a pair, they're a pair"

I do think they could have edited out some of the prayer mafia talk (or whatever it was she called them.) The editors hit it over our heads that they were praying to win. They didn't. Yes, they could have just shown one or two shots of them holding hands and praying. That would have solidified the earlier Brett/bible quote scene, and also introduced Russell's worry about Natalie's loyalty. But the editors continued, along with the subtitles. I thought that particular scene was OTT, but overall her edit was CP this episode. There was a lot more to her edit than just that one moment. Unlike many of you, I thought this was a remarkably toneless ep. I thought there were undercurrents of P for several players, but overall they were comfortably within the neutral range of the spectrum - Jaison, Mick, and Natalie for sure. Jaison had some happy stuff at the reward, but that was just reward stuff. Around camp he was far more neutral and cold. Mick had some happy SPV stuff, even the "he's a threat" SPVs were because he's a nice guy. But it wasn't reinforced by anything Mick did specifically. Both were neutral. Even Russell, although he was more on the N side, and have no issues with those who call him N. Shambo was absurdly OTTM, with nasty SPV's like "bitch" just because Natalie was doing well, then her giddy 7-year old crap. This was a nearly ideal swan-song episode for her, and underscored her overall OTTM edit.

Natalie: They freaked out? Russell: And now because you did that, they want to get rid of Mick. So now we gotta get rid of Mick... or Brett. Natalie: That was out plan anyway. Russell: Cause it don't matter what each of them think, I'm in control of it all. Natalie: You had no doubt in your mind, I hope, when I picked [Brett] first? Natalie confessional: Russell said to me since the first day that I can take you to the Final 2 if I can trust you, and I said 'you can trust me', I've been completely honest with him, lettin' him know what's going on, and, we've kinda been on the same page with everything, so we acutally have quite a bit of power: two brains are better than one. Russell: You be confident, because it's gonna happen. Natalie: It couldn't have worked out better, correct? Russell confessional: Brett is not a huge threat to win the challenges! He's a threat to win the million dollars. Russell: They say not to get confident in this game, but you know what? I'm confident as hell. Natalie: Since you are, then I am. How 'bout that? -Once again Natalie is shown kneeling to Russ in the hammock. This slave/master parallelism continues... -Russell did what he said: talked Natalie down -Both are confident, oops? -Mick is behind Jaison and Shambo in the alliance, doubt! Mick confessional: I think you gotta be skeptical all the time, and always have to assume that something else is going on, somebody's mind, when someone smiles at you, what is going on really? ...so, I'm anxious as hell, it scares the hell out of me. -Editors could have left Mick in the dark, but he's anxious, he's vulnerable, he knows you can't trust anybody (which he has said all season: don't trust Shambo when she came to FoaFoa, don't trust Monica when she was trying to save Laura, now don't trust Russell because he's inconsistent)--penultimate doubt, but he's prepared and doesn't trust anybody Natalie TCQ: It would be good to keep around people you can beat. -Her game remains connected to beating Russell Mick TCQ: I would be frusterated, I've been apart of this FoaFoa train since the beginning, I've played just as aggressive a game as Russell, but I've always been loyal. -Mick is loyal to his FoaFoa tribe, Shambo's vote? Not much more to say on it because there's not much more to say about Brett anyways) Jaison - MORM (I felt that he came off a little whiny complaining that Brett won again and could keep winning again. Almost like he reverted back to his beginnings of being a whiner at Foa Foa. This whining plus his positivity at the reward makes him mixed to me.) Mick - UTR (Who? Again he gets practically nothing when he's the boot target. That is incredibly odd that all we got was a generic "You never know when you'll be targeted" instead of more in-depth on this week's vote) Natalie - CPP (Positive moments talking about Brett/Mick, but getting complex about her relationship with Brett. Russell apparently trusts that she isn't with Brett, but her confessionals tell us another thing, that if she had to she'd stand against Brett in the end. She's playing Russell more than he thinks.) Russell - OTTN (I felt that his ridiculous comments about Shambo were completely lacking anything but him looking like an asshole. He just came off as a cocky, arrogant, one note character tonight) Shambo - CPP (Got inside her head on things and she had tons of positive moments. The whole bitch comment is being exaggerated by some toolbags when it was obviously in manner of just being mad that Natalie got lucky with pulling a rope. Shambo does not think Natalie is a bitch, we'd have had that elaborated on if that was what that was meant to be. Talked a lot of strategy and talked about how she knew more than they wanted to tell her.) It was an odd episode when it came to the vote. Mick nor Shambo was shown really scrambling, Shambo slightly was scrambling in her talks with Russell but they both seemed confident they were staying. Also I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed Natalie's confessional on Brett was the same one back from an early episode when she said her strategy was to hang back and avoid getting hit, letting Russell's behavior take all the hits for her.
