Well, most of the American population is protestant, so it doesn't really surprise me that a lot of the Samoa contestants are religious. I just didn't
expect a couple of them to be "prayer warrior" types, because as other people have pointed out, not all religious people are that extreme.

Anyone want to see if we can fill the front page with 25 different threads debating the Jesus question?

No offense but I've lived in both the North and South and fake Christianity, hypocrisy, hatred, etc. is NOT any more extreme in the South. They TALK about religion a lot more in the South but Northerners can be just as hateful, judgemental and phony. |

Mikester wrote: I partially agree with what you're saying. It was indeed innocent, but judging by the nature of the hainous replies here, it's as if Natalie said "Please let all fags and non-religious people burn in hell". Some of you Atheists really need to take a chill pill and realize that when people bring up God, it doesn't automatically mean that they are ignorant/intolerant assholes. On the flip side, I do find it sad when people bring up God on a TV show. Don't they think God has better things to do? Isn't it a tad selfish to pray to God for a million dollars rather than praying for him to end wars and injustice around the world? For supposedly good Christians, they sure are self-centered. |

I wonder if Natalie is going to bring up religion at final tribal council.

One of the reasons people are disturbed by Natalie's Prayer Warrior quote is becuse the only other "adorable" Prayer Warrior most of us are
familiar on television with is:
The second reason is because she conjures God when she needs a victory in a reality TV show challenge. Pray for God to make it stop raining. Pray for God to help you find food. But don't expose how casually you implement said prayer by asking for help in a specific game in a manufactured television game show. It wasn't like a simple "Thank you God", it was "Brett, you and I are the Jesus Wonder Twins and we are going to band together to defeat the evildoers." I'm related to about two dozen Prayer Warriors, and let me tell you, they are freaks. People who pray are not freaks; people who compare that simple act with warfare are, however, not well in the head.

Natalie:
Oh My Wherd, Oh My Wherd. Wherd-Up Jesus, Wjerd. You don't mix Church & State Same with You don't mix Church & Survivor I have a white cat named The Grand Wizard, but it's not the KKK type Wizard, It's the old TV Wrestling Manager that would wear The Head Turban and those wrap-around sun glasses. This is way before most of these LiL Sucksters were born. Well, The GW says Russell will win the Game. |

The editors should have introduced this religious stuff a long time ago. It seems like most of the people left are Christians, minus the professionals - we
would have had a ton of fun with it earlier on, and plus they could have spun the story as a Clash of the Christians kind of thing. Who does god love more?

The first seasons weren't afraid to show people's religious affiliation, especially if they were heavily religious. The only negative thing I've
heard about theism was Rudy wiping his ass with Dirk's bible (classic). As the show's gone on, we've seen less and less prayer warrior edits. As
we've seen here, it's a touchy subject. It's a shame, because I think conflicting religious/political/social opinions would make this show kick
much more ass, especially when it's important to the story.
