What she said to Farrah was true but damn if I didn't want to smack the smirk off her face. She seems like the type that enjoys saying shitty things to people just to watch their reactions. That conversation should have taken place off-camera. I just felt like she enjoyed plunging the knife and then twisting it in. I saw her sister's comment as coming from the point of view of a sibling that has had it with seeing her spoilt bratty sister acting as if the baby is an accessory instead of a priority. I did wonder why she didnt bring the baby with her when she went to visit her sister, and why she is such in a hurry to date again. I only saw about 1.5 episodes of 16 & pregnant so i didnt get the back story of most of these girls (so i may be wrong of my assessment), and last night was the first time i got to see Teen Mom. I'm not sure if MTV canada is airing the new episodes the same time as MTV is. Preview for next show shows Amber smacking Gary. I really felt sorry for Maci. She seems to be someone that will be able to turn her life around. With her saying that another man can call Bentley "daddy", I saw that more as her realizing that she doesn't not have to stay and settle for Ryan if she wants her child to have a father. I didn't get the vibe that she was like Farrah and wanted to rush out and start dating again, more that since Ryan has shown that he has no desire to put the effort into being a father & fiance, and would rather hang with his friends, then she doesn't need that in her life. I think she is crushed that this is the man she lost her virginity to, had his child, and completely changed the course of her life...and he acts like "oh well". I'll see more about Catelynn and Tyler's family next episode, but just from the little that i saw, i pity them and i see them most likely to pop out another kid by the end of next year. I applaud their decision to give Carly up, but like others have said, I dont think they truly understand that the adoptive parents are Carly's parents now. They are not babysitters. If they haven't already, I think they should be speaking with other teen parents who have given their children up.

I suspect that they are both spoiled brats that are used to getting whatever they want. I just think that she almost seemed to enjoy making Farrah cry, and taunted her with the comment about running away. Honesty, who would stick around if someone is speaking to you like that? Whether or not it is true doesn't matter, it's the tone and the attitude. Wouldn't it have been just as easy for the older sister to say to her something along the lines of "Why don't you bring Sophia along next time and we'll meet at the park?" Like I said before, Farrah is a child who just had a child of her own. Compared to some of the others she does have family around her to help. What they need to do is help steer her toward the right direction, instead of just doing it for her and then criticizing her for not doing things correctly. Parenthood is really an acquired skill, not something that happens the moment you become a parent. That skills that kick in immediately for most are the life-preserving skills, which Farrah instinctively knows are taken care of. Her daughter will be fed, will have a roof over her head, etc. Now someone needs to gently lead her towards the right direction. Can she be a good mother? I think she could, if she were shown. As to Maci-it's just depends on what the next few weeks hold for her. If she starts dating too fast then yes, she'll just be another teen mom looking for a baby daddy. If her friends encourage the behavior, her family-you can see how fast it could happen. But if she has family and friends who encourage her to find herself as a woman instead of worrying about becoming apart of a couple, then she could become so much more. Catelynn and Tyler still worry me so much. I knew someone once like them. She gave up her child for adoption because she knew it was the best decision she could make and then she obsessed about him constantly. (She had a closed adoption.) Once she realized that she might never see him again she changed. She had her Norplant removed (now you know that it's been quite a few years back) and immediately got herself pregnant. She wasn't a bad person; she just never got over her decision and she never received any counseling to help her.

Farrah is still partaking in her slut activity, more concerned with getting laid than taking care of her kid. Why don't these idiots realize their lives are over once they decide to fornicate without protection? There only concern should be their kids, not themselves. I really wish the state would step in and take these kids away from them, they are clearly clueless. Their kids will more likely than not follow in their footsteps - 16 and pregnant with no hope for a better life.

She's going to have to explain to her OB that she wants her IUD out and that's going to be too embarassing. Amber will be pregnant again before her child is two. She's someone who wants to be a "young mom" and will want to have all her kids close together so they can play. GED or not her only identity will be that of a mother and once she meets a couple other moms she'll embrace that and realise that she can't do anything else (lack of education) and she'll stay with Gary until he leaves her about the time he's 25.

She just thought that she was there and that there was no way the baby could fall. Was it a dumb thing to do? Yes. Have others done worse? Absolutely. Just a few towns over from where I live we had a mother make a dumb mistake-and it cost her baby's life. She had a toddler running around and a baby, just a few months' old. She had just got back into her apartment and needed to use the bathroom. The baby was sound asleep in its carseat and she didn't want to wake it up. The toddler wouldn't leave the baby alone. She put the carseat up on a kitchen counter and used the bathroom right off of the kitchen. She thought she could see everything but she couldn't. The baby's blanket had draped onto the stove. The toddler ran up to the stove and turned it on. The blanket caught fire and the baby burned to death. The mother had second and third degree burns on her arms and hands trying to get to the baby. Like I've said with all of the girls on here before: sometimes they make stupid mistakes. Any parent out there can think of a stupid mistake they've made. I know I've made my fair share. Parents learn through their mistakes. The best thing that can happen to the young women on this show is to have someone come in to counsel them so they don't make the same mistakes that got them to the point of becoming teen mothers in first place. They also need someone to come in and work on their parenting skills. Parents As Teachers is a fantastic program, run through some states' WIC programs (which I'd almost bet that all the girls qualify for, since they are teen mothers), that works with children ages birth through five years. I have yet to see any of them enrolled in that or a similar program. The young women on this program can learn. IMO, someone needs to step in and steer each of them in the right direction.

He is working, paying bills and she calls and screams at him that her car broke down. Then she goes over to her dads and NEVER LEAVES A MESSAGE, then when she finally calls and talks to him has him come over and her white trash dad starts attacking him along with her. He really needs to get away from that mess. The one I feel sorry for in that relationship is Gary. Poor guy can't win with her. And real nice putting the baby down in the 'crib' with a blanket propping up the bottle. Worst mother ever. Farrah needs to stop trying to hook up with a guy. She came off stalkerish when she hunted that guy down to ask him why he blew her off. Um, he is 18 in college and doesn't need to deal with a girl w/a baby that isn't even his. I don't blame him for breaking up with her. She needs to spend time with her child instead of chasing guys around. Maci still gets on my nerves. "Poor me, my friends are going to college and I am not, wah!". You wanted this. Deal. Catelynn and Tyler really need to move away from that mess of a family. It will just bring them down. My heart goes out to these two because they did the right thing and are still stuck in the town with those awful parents. I really, really hope MTV is paying them so they can save up and move on. It seems sad that people from New Jersey show can make a ton of money making an appearance at a club, and these two are just stuck. Maybe they can start 'talking' at colleges and schools about their experience and make money that way.
