Okay after another great blindside this is definitely one of the most unpredictable season ever!

I know a lot of people are annoyed because Survivor's style of editing has changed. Russell and Shambo get all the airtime and everyone else is delegated
to a supporting role. But I, for one, am okay with it. The storyline they are telling may be a bit forced, but it's a good one.

Jeff said this was a popular season from his blog. I think it's the best season yet!

I think the last five seasons (China-Samoa) have all been great. Espcially when you contrast them to the five that preceed them (Palau-Fiji). Its been a good
era for the show.
Yes the editing this season has been lopsided, but the story of a tribe overcoming a tribe of eight is great one, even if we had a similar story play out last season too. Id take this over a pagonging any day. And honestly isn't Russel one of the greatest players ever? |

But he has been behind all the big strategic moves this season and is the reason why Foa Foa has decimated Galu. With a little help from Natalie on the Erik vote. |

I don't know why,,, but I just can't enjoy this season... I'd say it's worse than Fiji or Thailand....Maybe once I rewatch I might like it
better but right now it just seems so bland and predictable.... I'm not really enjoying how the idol played a huge role this season, I still don't know
anything about half the cast other than Russell or Shambo... Kudos to Russell for playing a great game, Shambo was just useless dead weight...
And I also hate the editors for the following: Making survivor more boring.... (Focusing only on 2 people) Not enough character development Tribal Council Music (WTF why would you change that...) Intro (It sucks... leave it alone) Music (What happened to all the good music) I think survivor has definatly taken a step down... and a lot of it has to do with editing... |

For the most part, I think Survivor's been on the top of its game lately, but this season was a huge step down from the most recent seasons. I think the
first half of this season was just fine, because we got to know everybody who was eliminated. Once the merged happened, the same to people who have had face
time since the beginning...were the same people who continued to have face time up to now. Kelly, Dave, Monica, Brett, Mick, Natalie...really didn't have a
lot of face time at all. That's WAY too much people to not get to know in one season.
Every season has the castaway who doesn't talk: Nick, Zoe, Darrah, Julie, Jenn, Etc....but that's just one person, not half the cast. The finale is in 2 days, and the only people we really know are Russell and Jaison. How does that happen? Why cast these people if they're not gonna use them? And why cast Russell at all? He's awful on the eyes, and his personality is unpleasent with no redeeming qualities. At least JFP was entertaining. |

IluvGoddessCirie wrote: Dr. McSeed pointed gun at John. Lawyer McSeed compelled tribe to vote out Ben. Also, Lawyer McSeed provided compelling argument that led to ShamboFella ouster. Further, Lawyer McSeed somehow led Rocket Scientist down Delusional Lane such that Rocket Scientist believed Lawyer McSeed had some interest in working with him - which was a critical piece of Laura vote. Lastly, Lawyer McSeed elected to spend all his money, foregoing desperately desired food, to ensure Rocket Scientist did not have IC advantage. Dumbe Blonde #2 McSeed acted as Russhole's girl Friday, arranging innocent walks on the beach where Russhole lay waiting for his prey. ShamboFella was a critical and desperately needed vote and he gets the lion's share of credit for working her but she also felt at home with all the Foans. Has Russhole had a huge impact on this game - absolutely. By and large we are led to believe he dictated the target at each vote. And all the others have certainly admitted he was the front man, supported by images of John, Dave, Monica going to Russhole. But Monica said they also went to all of the McSeeds - which we were not shown. The 3 McSeeds chose to keep to the straight and narrow path and contributed to the Galu annihilation because they decided that was in their best interest. Russhole deserves a great deal of credit but there's enough to go around. |

I reserve the right to change my mind if the season finale turns out to be amazing. For me, this season is a "meh" season. There were two
specifically really great episodes, plus last episode which was a weird one, so it did manage to at least stir a response with me. That's not enough for me
to think of it as a great season.
