After watching "The Hurt Locker" I got to say I'd be okay with "Up" winning

"Nine" was pretty good. It isn't as horrible as critics are making it out to be. (It just jumped from 33% to 48% on Rotten Tomatoes, though so
it's moving up). I actually really enjoyed it. Could it have been better? Definitely. But it's not bad. The songs were blah but I mean those were from
the Broadway musical so that's not their fault. The best song was even the original song (Cinema Italiano). I dunno, I really enjoyed it and I'm glad
it got nominated. :)

Rotten Tomatoes is a great way to gage if I'll like the movie. Basically anything under 40% and I'll like it, anything above means it's boring and
thus the critics have cummed over it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.....I want Americans to win. Sean Penn, Forest Whitaker, Alan Arkin, and Jennifer Hudson are the only
Americans out of the 12 acting awards of the past three years to win.
I would love it if it was: Actress: Meryl Streep Actor: Morgan Freeman Sup Actor: Stanley Tucci Sup Actress: Julianne Moore very American and very good |

Saw "Up In the Air" tonight. It was a good movie, entertaining, but I don't think it deserves Best Picture. Not over some of the other films
I've seen this year. The two women were great, and despite not being a Clooney fan, I really liked him in this. But I didn't see anything from him that
deserves Best Actor.
I think Jeff Bridges will win. Morgan Freeman won fairly recently for Million Dollar Baby. Bridges has been nominated 4 times and hasn't won. |

I just watched Julie and Julia. It was a surprisingly good and sweet movie. Meryl Streep was awesome, as per usual, so I'd have no problem with her
winning. The movie itself deserves some sort of award for being the first film Nora Ephron has ever touched that didn't make me want to kill myself.

I saw New Moon today. I propose no awards whatsoever. I also propose canceling the rest of the saga.

I still need to see
Avatar The Road Me & Orson Welles Invictus Nine It's Complicated (just in case of an Alec Baldwin nom or some shit) The Messenger (I dunno if this is expanding anywhere) Crazy Heart (ditto) The Young Victoria (Emily Blunt <3) A Single Man The Last Station The Lovely Bones The White Ribbon then I think I'll be all set |

Why is everyone creaming their pants over "Avatar?" Sure, it probably showcases the latest in movie/digital technology, but I cant see it being this
awesomly written and acted film. It just doesnt give me that kind of vibe.
