I don't need shit like this. This is an adjunct to my enjoyment of the show, not the sine qua non reason to watch. (I am beginning to think those who want to remain spoiler free should create a moderated Yahoo group or something.) |

hey to everyone. i acknowledge i am new to this site; i've watched every season survivor but only recently discovered edgic. been reading all season long
and i was excited to try to be a part of it next season.
1. i made a point to stop reading spoilers for samoa as soon as i found this spec site. i like the whole notion behind it. i would be ALL FOR creating a new forum that is actually spoiler free, even if it's just for the sake of next season's edgic ratings. i really wanted to participate. 2. edgic doesn't need an entire overhaul. it is interesting to note that there's such little consensus on a winner this season (and lately, from what i can tell). perhaps the editors are being less obvious? perhaps us as an audience is being less flexible? obviously each season is different; different players, different dynamic, different twists (good lord - the outcasts). i think some of the prinicples of edgic are entirely well-founded in truth and pattern, and should not be discarded so quickly. despite the dissention this season, everyone can agree its one of the Foa4, and that decision has been made since pre-merge. that is a very good sign. the game is unpredictable, and of course the editors don't want us to know the winner just yet, so it seems like a good sign that this is a challenge. 2a. it is narrowed down to 4 people: take this and run with it. you can use edgic to get to this point, which is excellent. from there, i think whoever said it first is right - now is the time for story arcs to come into play. although i'm a big jaison fan, i think his journey is entirely personal, and for that reason, he is eliminated from the finale for me. i would happily participate in a modified edgic discussion of "who will win" using edgic/story arcs/themes/etc. edgic doesn't need to be strict, but it is a GREAT tool. 3. thank you for all your contributions. as a result, i am totally owning my fantasy survivor tribe. i did my best to not read all those spoilers on the last page and i'm on board with whatever edgic becomes next season. just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. -- edgic's newest fan/member |

I saw the first few words of the jerk's post but quickly hit the page up button before I could read enough to know any spoilers. The last time I read
spoilers was in the middle of S10, and it totally ruined what had been a decent season for me.
After this incident I don't think I'll be coming here much after this season ends tomorrow night either, even though I'd still love to do edgicing. Unless we could do it in a 'spoiler free' forum without people who have read spoilers, but that never got off the ground last time either, so I don't have much confidence in it. |

Thank you GR & Blake. I'm really fucking annoyed. But I don't think I was the only one. That's why I don't think winner picks should be in
place next season, at all. We had a troll post complete bootlist spoilers in this thread and in Sucks too. I am not the only non-spoiled Edgicer that could
have seen those. Others probably did but won't say anything. No matter if Edgic is 100% correct next season, nobody will give you any credit because the
complete bootlist was posted right in here for everyone to see.
So far only myself, Cindi & McPhever are the 3 who have 'seen it'... but I guarantee you there are others who did who won't speak up. |

Thanks for the BOLD warning Cindi, I saw it before I saw the post with the spoiler. What an a-hole, I hope he or she has been banned. I was looking forward to
coming in here after the finale to see what everyone thought of the show, but now I don't know if I should.
 I wish there were some way to patrol for spoilers and delete them
asap, but I guess that is impossible. Oo and Jaime, just to name a few... are right about these boards getting worse with pop ins and poorly disguised spoiler
picks. If Cindi doesn't mention some names, I hope someone else will.
Hey Blake, I will still have a few drinks with you tomorrow night. I hope you can find a way to keep Edgic going minus the idiots that come here to spoil things. I miss FLF, Warrior, OTH and CL this season, they had great posts and really knew their Edgic . Go Mick! Or Jaison!?
