My guess is that they will announce Survivor being in the post-Super Bowl slot on Monday, the day after the finale. If they announced it beforehand, it would
overshadow S19.

Undercover Boss got the post-Super Bowl spot. How fucking appropriate considering the WTF Survivor outcome we just witnessed. Now we get another WTF
announcement from CBS.
On the other hand I'm slightly relieved I won't have to stay up until 11 PM to watch the premiere. |

Undercover Boss has a dumb premise and will quickly flame out like most reality shows do. Not the smartest decision by CBS, but at least they're showing
faith in new shows and ideas. However, this is not going to help their image, they're gonna get pilloried by the public for this. The reaction on TVBTN is
almost totally negative.

the post superbowl slot would not have helped ratings, season-long, anyway. its pretty much a fans-only show, and CBS knows that.
thats why they're considering celebrity versions of Survivor and TAR, get new viewers

Undercover GODDAMN Boss?
Fucking morons. It looks like a cheesy POS, but then again maybe that could pull in the ratings. |

I'm looking at this as a positive. Survivor will have a 2hr premiere on the following Thursday. If it followed the Super Bowl they probably would not have
been able to have the 2 hr premiere. Hopefully, it will be a real 2 hours and not like the Gabon premiere.
There will also be a 19 Season retrospective show on CBS on February 4th. So with this news about the retrospective show and the two hour premiere, I don't mind that Survivor did not get the post-Super Bowl time slot. |

With 20 contestants there could be as many as 15 episodes and they might not want to move Survivor to Wednesday during March Madness. With 20 returning contestants, its not like we need a 2 hour premiere to get to know the cast better. I hope that I am wrong though. |

"Meanwhile, CBS will give its best unscripted series a commemorative episode: "Surviving Survivor," a special Survivor 19-season retrospective will air on Feb. 4, one week before the two-hour Feb. 11 premiere" |

It better be a real 2 hour episode, and my gut tells me that it is. They have to give all the people character development in the premiere, and that's
impossible to do in a one hour episode with Coach and Russell.
I would be looking forward to the February 4 thing, but it's probably just moments we've all seen a million times... the ones highlighted in the S20 preview, throw in some Stephenie, Cirie, Aitu 4, and you've got yourself the whole hour. |
