Natalie was one of four Foa Foas to survive to the merge. She clearly wins the pre-merge game over Russel. He's a strong male who is needed for the challenges, she's a weak female. She positions herself to survive, and she's not just lucky -- she consciously decides to just follow Russel, an underestimated move -- Marisa, Liz, and Betsy certainly didn't recognize it.

Post merge game: Natalie clearly had the best move of the game in booting Erik. While Russel made a mockery of himself flying from Galu to Galu, Natalie infiltrated Galu and flipped the script. Russel's swaying of John... I'm not sure how much influence he had, but credit goes to him there, as well as solidifying Shambo. When it's all said and done they pretty much had equal hands in Foa overthrowing Galu. She couldn't have done it without him, and vice versa. But Natalie clearly wins the social game over him. To this day, Russel still doesn't recognize how human beings work. He knows how to prey on their weaknesses but not feed off their better qualities and natural instincts. He doesn't get the stupidity of cockily keeping the idol to himself, he doesn't get how his arrogance will backfire, he doesn't get how treating people like crap will make them not want to vote for you.

Did you guys not see the events leading up to the FTC? Natalie reads Russel perfectly. She reads that he's trying to make them feel like they can't win, she calmly stays in control of her emotions. He tries to get her to reveal her FTC speech, she keeps it to herself. He telegraphs his entire spiel (although I'll admit it was kind of obvious anyways).

Natalie got votes FOR NATALIE. Russel would've beaten Jaison, Shambo, and Mick. You can't say she got anti-Russel votes, that's bullshit.
