It is my humble opinion that Russell is the true winner. The audience's reaction, and the fans votes were clearly on his side. From everything I've
read on the Internet it's more about how Russel should have won. Very few are on Natalie's side and the ones who are seem to be along the lines of the
jury's thinking..Russell was a jerk so lets give it to someone else. I'm assuming they gave it to Natalie because most of the jury were men, so the
lets give it to the cute blonde worked for her. The women that voted for her was probably along the lines of...well I don't like her but, we women have to
stick together mindset. Plus that fact I believe some of them were bitter that Russell out witted them.
True in the end Natalie won but, could she have won without Russell? I doubt it. Would Russell have made it to the finals without Natalie...most likely. I
give Natalie credit for playing probably the only card she had...ride the coattails of Russell...and it worked. But, and I've heard this before, to say
Russel did not play a social game is in my mind a discredit to him. He was after all there with 20 other players and survived to the end based off of
relationships he made one way or the other. He also won the fan base of America.
However, none of the above is why i believe he is the REAL winner. I believe he is the REAL winner because he was true to himself. He admitted he played a
conniving game and stayed true to his game plan. He played by his rules, his style, his way. In the end his True colors came out with russellgotscrewed.com He
has taken his fame and used it for good by creating a way to make money for a very good cause by raising money for St. Judes Hospital.
It will be interesting to see what Natalie, who was pretending to be little miss innocent as she aligned herself with "the devil", does with her
fame...and fortune.
True evil does not come out and say "I'm evil" true evil pretends to be nice in order to gain your trust so that it, true evil, can benefit in
the end.

The reason that Russell lost was because the jury didn't want him to win. The jury is there to vote for the winner. The rules don't state why they have to vote the way they vote. They don't have to vote for "most conniving" they can vote for any of the finalist. What you think is deserving and what others think is deserving is totally different. The jury probably knows what REALLY went on in the game better than you did. After all, viewers only received a manipulated edit of what went on in the game. Saying that Natalie didn't deserve to win doesn't make Russell more deserving. Say that Natalie wasn't strategic doesn't make Russell more strategic. If you think Russell deserved to win because he was true to himself, didn't Russell say he acts opposite in real life than he does in the game? Is that being true to himself? Isn't being true to themselves acting the way you would in real life to the situations in the game? Didn't Natalie do that? So by your logic: Natalie is the real winner of Samoa. |

It depends on how you define "winner".
In terms of the game Survivor, the winner of Survivor Samoa, by definition, is Natalie. Any other type of "winner" is kind of moot since it's purely subjective and there will never be anything close to a consensus on that. Is Russell better in some categories than Natalie? Surely. Is that more important than being the actual winner? Everyone will have a different answer for that. |

Natalie made two key moves: she got Erik voted off and she aligned herself with Russell. Does she deserve to win for that? Of course not. Russell aligned
himself for the the final two with Natalie, and Mick and Jaison and, guess what, Brett too!!! When Russell saw Brettt might be in the final tribal council
Russell did what he had to do to make sure he was there too. What did Natalie and and Mick do? Nothing!! Was Natalie hoping to ride Russells coatails into the
final even if Brett was there? The worst thing is that by the end of the show Natalie actually believed she deserved to win! It's really not surprising
that the jury would vote Natalie, nobody in Galu had a clue how to play the game and therefore would not recognize someone who did.
