He said he DID play a social game - with Mick, Natalie & Jaison. OK - 2 out of the 3 of them in the finals with you idiot! Natalie rode his coattails - to me that is SMART - and obviously the jurors agreed. Russ was WAY too cocky and kept telling Mick & Natalie why he would win and who would vote for him. Nobody wants to vote for a cocky jerk - and give him $1 million. The jurors questions were the most disappointing ever. LAME - except Erik's speech hit the nail on the head Congrats Natalie!

When are juries going to grow up in this game and stop acting like spoiled kids who have had their toys taken away. Pathetic. And as for Jaison, biggest immature whining cry.baby.titty.sucker ever cast for this show. Get the chip out of your ass and be a man for Chreeziessake!

Natalie is definitely the worst winner BUT not because of her. She may be the most deserving in actuality but the editing was certainly the worst. It was a step below Danni in terms of raising the question "why did she actually win?". However, Jeff should have asked each juror why they voted for Natalie. We never saw that and may never find that out. It's also unfair to poll the jury afterwards because whether they liked Russell before the show aired is insignificant because of what they have all now seen by watching it. In other words, Natalie won the game before the jury found out what Russell said about them behind their backs and saw him burn socks, empty water, and free chickens.

I mean I always wanted one of his dumb blondes to beat him, But I did feel bad he played so hard and lost. But then when I saw he was acting like such a baby(ha how many times did he call people babies) at the reunion, and offering to BUY Natalie's title, I realized the right person won. Russel wasn't playing it up for the camera's. He really WAS an over-confident dick who thought Strategy is the end all and didnt consider for a second that he would lose. He also didn't prepare for a bitter jury at all. So in the end, he got what he deserved. He made some fatal errors, and it cost him the game(as it should) Good job Natalie, your perfect social game got you the win and Im very satisfied.

Posts: 6051 (12/21/09 08:52 AM) MESS member More Recent Posts	It would have been more satisfying if they actually toned in on his evil a bit more post-merge and showed why people were disgusted with his type of gameplay, if they even were. The jury never challenged Russell very much. Think of how Stephanie, Sugar, and Mariano were completely raked through the coals when they lost to nearly invisible winners. If we didn't see exactly why the winners won, we at least saw why the losers lost. This season, WE were supposed to hate Russell but never saw exactly why the jury disliked him so much. We see the reasons now and I think the jury is very happy with their decisions, but it was rather unwarranted at the time of voting.

Russell's only achilles heals. And would it also be nice if the majority of the jury could look past social charm? Sure. But it's never going to happen in a game where people are the pieces. That said, I'm not sure Natalie could have won this season any other way than by riding Russell to the end. Which is why I don't see her being remembered as a very good player. I'm not saying it's a bad strategy, but her game was 100% reliant on ONE player vs. someone like Tina (Australia) who more or less had the same strategy, but who I believe could have made it to the end without Colby. All in all, a season of good / above average, but not great, players.

Heck if I was out there, I'd have the same strategy - stick to someone strong, let them take the bullets, but still make power plays from time to time, and not so up front. It's, as Jeff said, a LEGIT strategy in this game. Lying, cheating, stealing isn't the only strategy in this game, and even if it is a legit strategy as well, it's never the best one.

Nobody asked the jury and they didn't explain why they voted the way they did Let's not forget - this is a jury who was discussing (even before last night's finale) the absolute validity of awarding the money to the person who "needed it" most. Natalie is out of work and doesn't have her company car any more (boo fucking hoo). Maybe that's why they gave her the money - because, as we all know, they were very concerned about ethics and morality and stuff. Maybe their vote was to prove what fabulously ethical people they are If that's the case - forchrissake, let's start casting nothing but homeless people and at least level the playing field again, so everybody has an equal chance. Otherwise, there's no point to 39 days of survival, challenges, strategizing and voting people off. Just have everybody submit their income statement and be done with it This jury had zero concept of the game they were playing Fire Spillman!

If she was on another season, or on the other tribe, I'm sure her game would have been very different. I'm sure Natalie could have done well on most seasons.

You can't just sit there and gloat and trash people to their faces and think they'll be okay with it. I honestly thought the jury was pretty tame last night. They could have been tons worst, we've had more bitter juries in the past.
