Agreed. I never felt a bit of angst and, other than Erik and Kelly, I thought the jury was treating Russell with kid gloves.
I felt that either the jury was the worst ever because they never truly addressed any real issues or they knew some things that we never thought they knew. It was as if the jury knew something the we didn't realize they knew but were not allowed to say. I got that impression when Kelly spoke. Russell never really treated the jury with disrespect to their faces. The jury also never knew about the water, socks, or chickens. Was the jury shown video clips of the actual show but were not allowed to say so? That's what it seemed like to me. There was something VERY empty and mysterious about how the jury acted and why they voted the way they did. |

While I am in the pool that thinks Russell played an excellent game....assuming the production staff did not clue him in on the locations of the idols and he
actually found them on his own without any clues or help...then he played one hell of a game. Natalie just played the game that needed to be played to win. I
sat there last night watching as all of us were....and with Russell in the hammock rubbing it in to Mick and Natalie...I told my wife right then and
there....with that attitude...he just lost 1 Million dollars. Going into the final tribal...it was very evident that Eric gave the winning speech for
Natalie...and it was a a damn good speech. I thought right then....just think of the speech he would have given if he was in the F3

But Mick and Natalie never brought up how Russell was being nor did the jury ever bring up the fact that Russell felt entitled to win automatically. They
hinted at it, but never brought it up (unless they did but they didnt' show it which may also have been the case).
Looks like they overedited the final tribal council to hide some key points that were brought up, but in the infinite wisdom of the 22-year old editors CBS hires, they turned the entire final TC into a jumbled mess in order to make the final vote read suspenseful. |

Well, I was pissed when I learned that Russell did not win. As much as I did not like him personally, I do think he played a very smart game. But the more I
think about it, Natalie also played a smart game, just in a different way (and Galu just played a stupid game).
Natalie really laid the ground work to get Erik booted, which started the Foa Foa domination. Sure Russell worked hard at that too, but Natalie got the ball rolling. And Russell was also out the door more than once had he not found the immunity idol, so really that saved his butt, not his game play. (On the same note, it probably saved Natalie too, but she had built better relationships than he had, so she would have lasted longer). She did not make huge, overarching moves like he did, but she did play a smart game and had some good moves under her belt too. Plus, as has been said, that was a bitter jury! They all knew Russell played a smart game, but they just couldn't forgive him for getting them out. I just don't see how people go on Survivor and get upset when someone votes them out...only 1 person will win, which means there are 19 losers...and only 3 in the finals, so 17 don't get there. Your chances are good that you will get the boot, so why be so bitter??? Overall, people seemed to go to Russell when the played the game, but for some reason they weren't willing to accept that he was a better player...or they just couldn't reward his behavior. Anyway, congrats to Natalie...you actually did play a smart social game and had some good strategies too! |

I've been wanting this for a really long time. Wizard!
While Russell may have played the best strategic game, Natalie played the best overall game, socially and strategically. Natalie made a fantastic move right at the beginning by attaching herself to the player she knew would go far, and who would fight till the end. She helped in the decision making, but Russell was the one with the blood on his hands, while Natalie sat back and rode it to the end. She definetly deserved to win fully, and I think it was stupid how Russell was like "give me your title." She won the game. Obviously the jury though so as well. Congrats Natalie!! |

I think too many people forget the fact that Russel caused an 8-4 division. His tactics weakened his tribe. Therefore, Natalie was correct when she said her
best move was ousting Erik. If they had voted a Foa Foa out Russel was soon history and he could blame himself. I hate sore losers and Russel was the biggest
of all. Congrats Nat.

Russell definately played the best game and deserved to win. WTF kind of explanation is that? Of course Natalie had the choice to align and stay allied with Russell. She had every opportunity to gather everyone else on Foa Foa and flip it up to get his ass taken out but she CHOSE to stay allied with him because she knew the value of getting him to trust her 100%. She knew he'd be the person that would take all the bullets in the end and that he'd play the game reckless, so she wisely play dumb to him. While he made all his supposed "big strategic moves" she bonded with all the people he was backstabbing right under his nose and made the connection that it would take to win the game at the end which is all that matters. As much as the editing wants people to think otherwise, Russell benefited from being allied with Natalie as Natalie benefited from being allied with Russell. |
