I got Shane and his wife Angela's Christmas CD today. I remember years ago thinking how much I would love to hear him sing "O Holy Night",
and I finally got my wish. All I can say is WOW!!

Thanks SHC. I might just check the other boards out.
In the meantime, this week's Nielsen BDS Chart has come out, and Theo's "Do You Hear What I Hear" has shot up from #23 to #5 and has the most increased plays of any song this week. I know the DJs often comment that they are getting a lot of requests and calls for it, so it's not just me asking for it - LOL! |

You never know, I'm sure you have an unlimited minutes plan to request Theo songs from your phone.
What stations are these that play him so much? I obviously don't listen to them, I've never heard his Christmas songs or anything else. |

They are the AC stations like CHFI or EZ Rock - the "soft rock" ones. (I think you're from Toronto, right? That's why I named those two for
you. I figured you'd know them.)
And hey, even if I had unlimited minutes (which I don't), I know better than to spam requests to radio stations. I know what happens when fans go overboard. I request it within reason...once per day. In fact, I just called to request it now, and the DJ Troy immediately said "That's a popular one!" when I told him what I wanted to hear. It's nice that it is getting alot of airplay now because it will probably stop being played on December 26. That's just the nature of the Christmas song. |

Yeah I know of those, my mom listens to CHFI. I'm not generally a radio person, I prefer my own iPod but in the car I'm typically a Virgin Radio 99.9
kind of gal. Occasionally I'll bear with CHFI for my mom but its all Christmas music all the time now so we're not really down with that.
One per day is kind of overboard imo but okay. |

Ever since I bought tickets for We Will Rock You Mirvish has been sending me e-mails about their productions. So anyway I usually never care about them but the
latest one involved a CI contestant.
A new music called Rock of Ages is starting and it stars Yvan the guy who played the lead in We Will Rock You, that chick from How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? who played in The Sound of Music AND Aaron Walpole. Another young discovery, Aaron Walpole, a finalist in the third season of CTV's Canadian Idol, will star as Lonny, the quick-witted sound guy in the Sunset Strip's Bourbon Room who also acts as narrator for the story.I know you all hated Aaron but I loved him. The main critique of him was that he was to musical theatrey though so I guess this part will be good for him. I kind of want to see it but I'll wait until its not new and tickets are cheaper. |

Finally got Amberly's EP in the mail. YAY!
I'm listening to it now, it has "Final Touches," "What Happens Next," "What Is Love," "Friend" and "Throwing It All Away." I think "Final Touches" is such a beautiful gem. Such a wonderful song. All the songs were written by godde.ss Amberly except "What Is Love" which is actually a cover of "What is Love," that dance track by Haddaway, lol. Its really good too. All the tracks are killer.

Agreed actually. As soon as I heard it I was like wtf, she should have done this on the show. That said I don't think it would have fit on any of the theme
weeks.
Its a really good cover though. Does it matter though, she'd still be a girl and therefore she was DOOMED! |

Its a ballad.
It fits with the rest of the album. Its not too slow, or too fast, its sort of in between like her other songs. Very Amberly. |

Time for a Theo update...
*everyone double checks the username to make sure they're not seeing things* I went out last night and I heard a commercial promoting Theo and Ali's "Do You Hear What I Hear?" not once but TWICE. I think we were listening to CHFI. Apparently the proceeds go to War Child so I think I'll actually buy it. They play a snippet in the commercial and it actually sounds really pretty, also I really like DYHWIH anyway. |

EZ Rock is playing the ad as well, which is good because I have yet to hear any of the DJs mention that proceeds go to War Child (although SG is right...I did mention that on here). Theo's done several things for War Child now. And you are right: it is a very pretty duet. Theo's and Ali's voices go quite well together. Miki, I've told you before...I don't think of Theo that way. He's just a super-sweet guy whose voice I love, and I enjoy supporting him and listening to him sing. I know the same can be said of my friends who go see him with me too. |
