For me, I wanted to have as many options as possible when we got to the merge so I could play around situationally, and the EA was one of those. I did imagine it would have a big impact on the game. I really thought that it would be us 4, JT and Debbie in the final 6. A lot of my thought early on was how I could get rid of both Brendan and JT in that scenario. 2) I think the Exile Alliance had a huge impact in the game, in that it made Brendan/Sierra think they were voting as part of a legitimate bloc rather than outliers - and bc, maybe most importantly, it made Tyson and Coach suspicious of Brendan. Thanks! The finale is a lot more fun when you don't have to get up for press in the morning. |

Stephen, please tell me that you recognize why Natalie deserved to beat Russel and why she outstrategized him. I thought Eliza would see it but I've been
sorely disappointed.

Stephen, am I right in assuming you appreciate & recognize Natalie's strategy? You did mention her a lot in your blogs so I think you'll probably
be more objective about it than Eliza. Hopefully

Russ knows what he's doing. Even after losing.
Had you bitched and whined about being the true strategist after you got mopped up, people might still talk about ya. Russ will be a household Survivor name and Z-list celeb from now till the show gets canceled. That's what all Survivors want, right? |

Stephen do you feel the pressure to go along with CBS's propoganda that RUSSELL IS THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER in order to increase your chances of coming
back if they ever have 4th season featuring returning players.

GnarlsInCharge wrote: Russell is not the greatest player because he did not win. Only the winners are the greatest players. Russell will always be remembered as the Sore Loser. I have watched all the seasons and I know the name of the game is to get the votes at the end if you happen to make it that far. Russell had Rambo and Jason in his corner. Nat had seven (7) Votes, that is a blow-out. And Jeff Proby will be hosting Survivor until he dies, I can picture him at Tribal with his Depends Undies on, Forgetting the words to the first Tribal, reading Q-Cards or a Teleprompter: Once you come in grab a torch and approach the flame. In this game fire represents your life and as long as you have it your still in the game... once your fire's gone so are you.' ( Said at the beginning of a tribes first trip to tribal council) And: 'Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.' Jeff and Burnett will be doing Survivor for a long time. Most of us were thinking Russell would win the game, but now that everyone see's what a Sore Loser he is they are pleased to see his misery. He treats women like "Toilet Paper", Once I'm done with them I will throw them away." Nat's philosophy was different, she thought, Once I'm done with them I will convince them to Vote for me. And to Nat, All I can advise you is get a great Accountant. There is alot of things you can do to keep your taxes down. Pay your Quarterlies, don't do a Hatch." And SteveieD, Russell's clothing looked like Off The Rack WalMart Hip-Hop Shop, along with his PorkPie Hat and bellybuttom hugg'in shirt. |

Have you read the thread on Erik's FTC speech and where do you come down on the issue? Love to get your perspective. Thanks. |

TheWizard wrote:Okay, I see what you mean. I agree that Russell's game play could make the case that there may be a distinction between strategy and social game play; however, I also think Russell had a good point when he said he was playing a good social game because there were a bunch of people who trusted him and believed what he promised. It seemed always only to be in retrospect that the other players being voted out said, "Oh, yeah, I knew I couldn't trust Russell..." It's a tough call, but what I really think at this point is that his arrogance (along with a predominantly religious jury who let morality guide their vote) was ultimately Russell's downfall. The jury punished him by not voting him the winner, but doing so did not have what I suspect to be the intended effect - to humble him by not giving him the title this season. They've created a monster. |

How did Taj feel about both black Timbira members being voted off back to back?
EDIT: HOLY SHIT DAYS LATER I REALIZED IT WOULD HAVE BEEN 10 TIMES FUNNIER IF I SAID BLACK TO BLACK INSTEAD OF BACK TO BACK. FUCK!
