I cannot wait for the episode with the spiders that "kill" them and they are buried alive. (I'm pretty sure that's how they met their demise.) FISH BISCUIT! This will be my new swear word for the month. I needed something to replace the "CRAP BUCKET!" I have been using ever since Cindi used this phrase in the Grey's Anatomy Thread Title.

Jack in Thailand is still about the worst. All of that just to explain the meaning of his tattoo. He couldn't have just gotten drunk and ended up in a tattoo parlor in China Town and gotten marked by someone with a "gift"? And that episode just emphasized why I hate the character of Jack. He is such a selfish asshole. Achara tells Jack that it is FORBIDDEN for her to mark a foreigner, someone who is not Thai, yet selfish prick Jack just has to have his way and force her to do it. He deserved his ass kicking in the end for disrespecting someone else's customs. It's not all about you, Jack! Well, the Kate-centric episode "I Do" is the WORST. The only thing good about that mess was Nathan Fillion. But the whole thing was so pointless. Bleh. And what the heck is going on towards the end of "Not in Portland," the Juliet episode, where towards the end they decide they have to leave the little Alcatraz island and go back to the main island, because Kate & Sawyer know where they are. So, there is the scene where they load up Ben on a primative stretcher and lay him across a rickety little row boat for them to row him the 2 miles back to the main island. Okay. Then a few minutes later at the very end of the episode we see Jack, Juliet and the others on a big old motorized fishing boat heading back to the main island. WTF? If they had that big motorized boat, why in the hell would they put Ben on a tiny little row boat to send him back? Rewatching season 3 is reminding me just how much I had blocked out of my mind.

He may be a lot of things, but selfish isn't one of them. If that were the case, he would have chopped Kate into tiny little pieces after he saw her screwing Sawyer on video instead of trying to save both of them.

Question about that - was it ever confirmed that Locked actually blew up the sub? I remember there was a huge question as to why his clothes were dry when he was inside the sub and yet were soaked when he was back on the dock (theory being he moved the sub and set the bomb at the end of the dock.)

He wanted Kate & Sawyer out of his sight, because he was disgusted with Kate and his ego was bruised because she screwed Sawyer and not him. He thought he was getting himself off that island and he was not going to look back. Jack is angry, obsessive and controlling. Look how he was with his ex-wife. He wasn't in love with her, but it pissed him off that SHE would leave HIM for someone else. Jack needs to realize that just because his father was an ass, it doesn't give Jack the right to also go through life as an ass and treating everyone else like shit if they don't do what he says. I just hope that huge chip on Jack's shoulder is completely knocked off before the end of this last season and if he is going to end up dying by the end, I am given reason to actually like him before he bites it.

Locke should have pushed Kate through the pylon fence thingy. I hope someone is taking care of Nadia (Mikhail's kitty) now that he is dead. Intermission episode re Nikki & Paolo Love it when Locke opens that door to find that the Man from Tallahassee is his father. This storyline is one of my favorite intertwining ones and I can't wait until Sawyer gets to finish it. Kate waking up in the jungle handcuffed to Juliet <3<3<3 They needed to extend that fight scene with Juliet kicking Kate's ass more. Kate's jealousy of Juliet is so enjoyable to watch.

I think he has a good heart. He's a fixer. I'm a fixer. He loves hard.. possibly too much. So do I. He didn't believe in the island BS Locke was throwing at him. I wouldn't have either. It's really hard to explain. He tears up when he's upset, pissed, hurt, moved... SO DO I!! Jears! Fears <3 I'm not saying I agree with everything Jack does or would handle every situation the same. I get him. Not sure what else to say. I liked Matthew Fox in Po5, but not the same way I love Jack. I'm more interested in MF now because of Jack. Did I answer all your questions? :) Esoteric - have you tried copying the note somewhere else to see if the line break code shows up? That's happened to me before. If I copy something like that, I have to copy it to a blank email or notepad first.

SO, knowing you're a jerk and embracing it makes ya hot? Not to me. Jack doesn't always think he's right. He feels guilty for stuff that's not even his fault and stays pissed at himself. THAT is why he acts like a mule's ass often. He thinks it's his job to take care of everyone, to lead. I don't overlook his flaws. I understand his flaws. So the only one who cared when Locke died, the one who wanted to go back to the island, to everyone he left behind (Sawyer included).. this guy thinks he's always right? Nahh. He knew he was wrong. IMO Kate (though I like her) is much more selfish than Sawyer OR Jack.

The other HUGE difference between Sawyer and Jack that I forgot to note and what makes Sawyer endearing to me, while Jack annoys the hell out of me, is Sawyer has a sense of humor. Between the funny nicknames and the sarcastic jokes, I love that. Poor Jack is a humorless uptight prig and he needs to RELAX and laugh a little. I do agree with Rose, though, in that I also liked Jack a lot better after he returned from his week or so with The Others. I found Jack tolerable when he was with Juliet or when Juliet was around. Unfortunately, that didn't last long enough because Jack was in love with that annoying whore Kate. I agree with your comment about Kate. I always saw Kate as the female Jack. They are so similar in so many ways, especially their pigheadedness.
