Ya, I'm a Glee fantard too lol.
Along with Mary, Eminem is in Susan's warpath this week. Nothing good next week, but the first week of January sees a Katharine McPhee and Ke$ha release. I hope Susan can own them as well, but the rest of the month is really dull. |

As Christmas closes in, Carrie Underwood keeps racking up the sales numbers. With an additional 153,000 units sold last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan,
and a repeat airing of her holiday special, Play On will blow past the million mark this week. And Some Hearts is closing in on 7 million:
It's less than 100,000 units away now, though with the post-holiday letdown coming, that next milestone may be a few months away.
From the most recent season, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen both saw double-digit gains. For Your Entertainment sold almost 59,000 units (29 percent gain) and Kris Allen rang up more than 31,000 (34 percent gain). In fact, nearly all the American Idol-related albums in the top 200 saw week-to-week sales increases last week. Carrie Underwood, Play On (153,000, +44 percent, 997,000 total/3,000 digital, -31 percent, 104,000 digital total)

. I don't think Katharine McPhee will present much of problem to SuBo. Ke$ha too for that matter.

Woooot!!!!! GO KRIS!!!! GET THAT SMASH!
Kris Allen has the best-selling track of any Idol for the second straight week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Live Like We're Dying sold more than 40,000 copies last week, a 14 percent increase over the previous week. And the growing airplay (and continued television performances) for Adam Lambert's Whataya Want From Me seem to have connected with the buying public, as weekly downloads of the single nearly doubled, from 10,000 to 20,000. Kris Allen, Live Like We're Dying (40,000, +14 percent, 290,000 total)

The question is- if his single is doing so well- why is his album tanking?
All the idol's music should move up the iTunes charts as the Christmas music starts dropping off.

Thats nice that his single is selling a bit more.
Lambert is in the 70's somewhere I think on single chart, number #29 on album chart, Kris is 56 on album chart. huh thats weird. I wonder too why nobody wants his album? |

Hunterdonn wrote:Agreed. I'm no Kris fan by any stretch of the imagination. I listened to his CD and thought it was boring. But with the single doing so well, you would think the album would be doing better. |

WEAKEND SALES PREVIEW: With one week remaining in the chart year, Susan Boyle and Taylor Swift are now less than 100k apart in their battle for the
best-selling album of 2009. Taking a look at a preview of next week's chart, though reports are sketchier than usual, so don't bet the house on
'em:
Susan Boyle (Columbia): 600-625k Andrea Bocelli (Decca): 350-370k **Mary J. Blige (Geffen): 300-320k Alicia Keys (J/RMG): 280-300k Taylor Swift (Big Machine): 215-225k Justin Bieber (Island/IDJ): 170-180k Lady Gaga, The Fame (Interscope): 165-175k Carrie Underwood (19/Arista Nashville): 155-165k Michael Buble (Reprise): 120-130k **Young Money (Cash Money/Universal Motown): 120-130k Everyone is staying flat from last week pretty much b/c the Christmas week was pretty short. |

Fearless deserves to sell more than SuBo's crappy album.
They played her "Wild Horses" in HMV today and I almost fell asleep in the aisle. |
