Excellent, good write up overall. Marisa's boot was a bit obvious tho

Sometimes the boots are just obvious. Hopefully next episode will be a bit more surprising.

(B) What was your overall favorite part of the episode?

The Russell and Ben fishing scene. Great bonding (perhaps a personal growth moment for Russ?)

Yeah. Like I said, I enjoy having flashes of humanity amongst the constant strategizing we see too often in the real show. Natalie's rat-killing scene was one of the best in the real season.

(A) Edgic for gf's fanfics has been very successful over the past few seasons, so I would love to get some reader involvement in determining Edgic ratings. Please submit your own ratings in this thread. Ratings will be compiled and I'll post the final ratings in a chart before the next episode.

I appreciate the effort you've put into this, and since you really do seem like you want to get better at Edgic, I'll give ya some constructive criticism.

Ashley -UTRN2 (Very good. I might not give Ashley an all-out N, but she was definitely not supposed to be P in this episode. And as for the UTR, she got more scenes than that to warrant an MOR.)
Ben - OTTPP4/5 (or perhaps even CPPP?) (Definitely go easy on the PP or NN ratings, because they're supposed to be used only in extreme cases. A lot of people see Ben as CP though, so I might have to give him that rating. Also, when it comes to visibility, the best bet is to go by the visibility charts unless someone's number seems WAY too low for the content they got. Ben was more of a three in visibility.)
Betsy -MOR(P?)2 (She was supposed to be P, yes, but she wasn't really featured that much, so a UTR is more appropriate.)
Brett - n/a
Dave -UTR(P)2 (Definitely not a 2. I might even go so far as to say Dave was INV this episode, so either UTR1 or INV1 would be the best bet.)
Erik -UTR1 ? (INV1?) (INV1, just like Dave.)
Jaison -UTRP2/MORP2 (still a noob to edgic LOL) (He wasn't really P, I don't think, and maybe a little more visibility was in order. And we got into his head, so he was definitely CP.)
John -MOR3 (This was accurate. John wasn't really intended to be all that complex this episode, and a two or three is accurate for his visibility.)
Kelly -UTR1 (INV1?) (She had two confessionals, so she was at least UTR2. I would personally even give her an MOR2.)

Liz -CP(P?)3 (CP3 is just right.)
Marisa - CPN4 (Not a lot of complexity. The intent was for her to be more one-note "Russell needs to go because I said so")

Monica - CPP(P)5 (Again, try to avoid the PP or NN ratings. She was P, but it wasn't complex so much as potentially MORP or OTTP)
Natalie -MOR(N?)3 (Not really supposed to be N, but I can understand that interpretation. Good job here.)
Russell H. - CPP(P?)5 (He was kinda one-note heroic, only to get into a fight with Marisa at tribal council. I think he's more OTT, but I could see the P (or more likely, an M)
Russell S. -UTRP1 (He had a couple confessionals and overall was relatively seen, so an MOR is more appropriate here.)
Shambo - MORN3 (Intended to be more one-note and stereotypical, so OTT fits better here.)
Yasmin -UTR2 (Perfect!)

I liked that the showdown between Russell and Marissa went on for three episodes before being resolved, but I hated that Russell won out in the end, only because I'm afraid it would be too similar to the real show, and it's much more interesting to see all of the cast playing an active game rather than just one person making all the moves. I hope this is not where you are going with this.

I enjoyed Brett and Marissa while they lasted, I got the impression that they could've been good as long term characters, but I can see how writing their whole potential into two or three episodes can give that impression - when they possibly could've lost their stride had they stayed longer.

If I were you, I'd write all the characters into each episode and avoid INVs completely - that's one of those things that the real show fails at, but you can make a change for the better in the subject. Even a line or two for each of them, at least, would be satisfactory.

Right now I'm having problems getting into the Galu power structure, because the characters aren't really distinguished but are already seperated into small groups. the Foa Foas, however, are much more defined and thus are more enjoyable to read about.

Anyway, good luck! I'll continue reading. :)
