Carrie Underwood who announced her engagement to NHL player Mike Fisher this Christmas has talked about it for the first time in a holiday posting on her website.

She said: "I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year… a fiancé! Woo hoo! Little Ace is finally going to have a dad! We all couldn't be happier!!!"

The country singer and her Ottawa Senator fiancé, 29, met in October 2008 after being introduced by mutual friends.

Besides the rock, Underwood bragged about the other things she found under her Christmas tree, including "a pair of pink warm fuzzy socks to keep my tootsies nice and toasty" and lots of tasty chow.

"I ate so much on Christmas Eve that I thought I might actually get sick! But it was sooooo goooood!" she wrote on her website, reminding fans to "stop and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas."

Before this week, this year and this decade are officially over,Carrie Underwood is gonna squeeze in one last good deed. She's working with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and has joined fellow classy chicks Tyra Banks, Oprah Winfrey, and first lady Michelle Obama for this new Fur-Free and Fabulous campaign. (Not to be confused with PETA's "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign that some celebs have signed up for.) All these women are pretty vocal about their refusal to wear fur in any way, shape or form. So when Underwood's watching soon-to-be-hubby Mike Fisher's hockey games, she will just have to find other ways of staying warm at all those cold, cold ice arenas. Share and Enjoy:

Tyra Banks first renounced fur 15 years ago when she modeled a faux-fur hat, complete with a "no fur" button, for PETA. Oprah, who refuses to wear real fur or feature it in O magazine, was named PETA's "Person of the Year" in 2008 for her efforts to educate her millions of viewers about the cruelty of puppy mills and factory farms. And earlier this year, Michelle Obama's press secretary, Semonti Mustaphi, confirmed that "Mrs. Obama does not wear fur." But, of course!
