ROUND TABLE: Jerry Sims
|
JERRY SIMS, 49, U.S. Army Sergeant,
Rock Hill, SC.
Tribe History: Timbira, Novo How He Can Get to the Final Two: Lasercatz: Out of every single castaway, the US drill sergeant has been the most likable... and the most unseen. If he stays out of the radar for a few more days, Jerry will reach the end-game.
DarrahColleenJerri: He won't. Unless he goes on an Immunity run there's no way Jerry is making Final Two.
KittyPryde1: He just needs to keep laying low and let the Jalapaos, Tyson and Candace, and Erinn keep gunning for one another, because then he's just going to keep floating through the game without making any enemies, and he's a strong enough player that he might win the final challenge.
Mr X819: Lay low for now. He is honestly seen as no threat whatsoever, especially in a game where strategists like Tyson, Erinn, and Spencer are constantly lobbying to take each other out. He could slip right through the next few votes and get completely disregarded. What is key is a Final 3 Immunity win. With no Taj, and Tyson pointing out his likeability last episode, he can't count on someone taking him to the Final 2. tropical rain: LOL I forgot about him. Maybe that's what people will do on the show. He's just a nice dude that's non-threatening that may be in the finals before we know it. Why He'll Win: Lasercatz: Who wouldn't want to give the money to an American hero who has done nothing to upset anyone?
DarrahColleenJerri: Jerry doesn't talk so Jerry doesn't have any enemies. Amber? Danni? Bob? Uh-oh.
KittyPryde1: If Jerry is in the finals, it won't matter if he's played a quiet strategic game. No one has ever had a mean word to say about him. He's the most likable player in the entire game right now, and given how vile some of his fellow players have been, that could be enough.
Mr X819: As just mentioned, the likeability factor. He's a fun, easygoing guy that hasn't ruffled anyone's feathers. In a jury that might be incredibly bitter (especially against someone like Tyson or Erinn), he has a sizeable chance of getting votes.
tropical rain: He's played a good social game, which may carry him if he makes it to the end. Lasercatz: Even his fellow castaways have trouble remembering Jerry's name. A jury prefers their winners to actually make steps to win the game.
DarrahColleenJerri: Jerry has done nothing but do what other people have said for him to do. He's a nice guy and everyone likes him but he hasn't played the game.
KittyPryde1: Tyson is controlling the game, and Tyson sees Jerry as a threat. That's all it takes. Jerry is a danger to win the game because he's so likable, and he'll probably be taken out before it's too late.
Mr X819: He really has done nothing strategically, aside from being the swing vote in Episode 6. The jury could tear him apart like Katie, seeing him as a person who really didn't do much physically or strategically.
tropical rain: He hasn't been a major player… plus he's been out of the loop which may very well continue. Overall Verdict: Lasercatz: 6th
DarrahColleenJerri: ODDS 10-1
KittyPryde1: Doesn't make the finale. He's just not interesting enough. 5th place.
Mr X819: If he does end up in an alliance with Erinn against Candace or Tyson, whoever's left could consider him a threat for the end. I'd peg him as 4th or 3rd place.
tropical rain: The likable guy which probably won't make the end because he's out of the loop. He will lose. Jeff's Thoughts: The reality of Survivor is that the most strategic player doesn't always win. If Jerry makes it to the Final Two, he wins the game.
Period. Just for being the most likable. The challenge for him is going to be getting there. He doesn't have any truly close allies, but he's seen as
just unthreatening enough that he could slide by a couple more rounds and end up in the Final Two from an Immunity win.

ROUND TABLE: Sandy Burgin
|
SANDY BURGIN, 53, Bus Driver,
Louisville, KY.
Tribe History: Jalapao, Novo How She Can Get to the Final Two: Lasercatz: What looked like a crazy 53-year-old bus driver actually hides an adept (but still crazy) strategist. With new multiple alliances, Sandy can ride either of those to the Final 2.
DarrahColleenJerri: Sandy came out of nowhere as a player to be reckoned with. She may be slightly crazy but she has proven she has the passion and at times a sharp enough mind to navigate her way through the mine field that is the merge. She may even convince enough people that she is so crazy they should take her and beat her in Final Two.
KittyPryde1: She's an older woman, thus she's not a physical threat. She's been acting crazy, so she's not a social threat. She's a strong contender for a goat that could easily be dragged along and used to someone else's benefit.
Mr X819: Like Jerry, she is seen as virtually no threat, just a "crazy lady," which bought her a lot of time in this post-merge game and can buy her even more time in these next few votes. Though she is continually pegged from people willing to maintain a Timbira majority, Carolina's boot showed that any Timbira alliance is gone now. She also has the ability to get into people's heads, which could definitely help in a Final 3 situation in terms of getting someone to take her.
tropical rain: If Sandy can continue picking off Timbira members with Spencer, she may just end up
in the finals with him!
Why She'll Win: Lasercatz: Sandy was sorely underestimated in the beginning of the game. If she stands in the Final 2, a jury might pay their respects with votes.
DarrahColleenJerri: She has made moves and she has made allies that have advanced her in the game. Although she relies quite a lot on Spencer and Tyson in terms of strategy it isn't like she's just sitting out there making mushy rice. She is playing a lot smarter than she often gets credit for.
KittyPryde1: If she's in the finals, she's an original Jalapao. She has that working in her favor in terms of garnering jury votes. She's been playing a solid strategic game thus far and she's managed to worm her way into the good graces of the true power player of the season, Tyson. She's smarter than people think, and she can prove that at the final tribal council.
Mr X819: She has a fantastic story of coming from being underestimated to making it all the way to the Final 2. She can talk about manuevers like the Taj vote and the mysterious vote at the merge to show she isn't just a crazy old lady. She can really throw the jury for a loop. Plus, being a Jalapao in the Final 2 really helps.
tropical rain: She's been the complete underdog and people will probably respect her making it to the final two. Lasercatz: Sandy has annoyed some people to no end. A few jury members would prefer not to respect the crazy lady. Also, the former Timbiras might try to get rid of the rest of the Jalapaos.
DarrahColleenJerri: She does annoy a lot of people in the tribe and those same people are going to be on the jury. If she makes it will she be able to articulate the reasons why she should win or will she ramble on about corn bread and school bus routes?
KittyPryde1: She's too goofy, and even if she manages to state her case, people are bound not to take her seriously, especially with Carolina OBVIOUSLY going to be a bitter juror. Plus, she's a former Jalapao, which means keeping her around might be suicide.
Mr X819: People like Carolina may have personal grudges against her, thus taking votes away from her. Also, there's always a chance people realize that she's too likeable and too much of a threat, being a Jalapao.
tropical rain: She can be irritating and all over the map which may be hard to work with at the end game. Overall Verdict: Lasercatz: 1st
DarrahColleenJerri: ODDS 4-1
KittyPryde1: I'm gonna make a bold prediction. Sandy has been solid all around for a while now, and she was the last Jalapao standing in my story too, but I think she can go further here. 1st Place.
Mr X819: I could see Sandy making it over Erinn, Tyson, or even her ally Spencer. But her status as a Jalapao won't take her to the Final 2. 4th, maybe 3rd at most.
tropical rain: Completely underestimated which will work to her advantage. She has a chance. Jeff's Thoughts: There's two ways that Sandy can get to the Final Two. Either she's going to make everyone think that she's so crazy that she stands no chance of convincing a jury to vote for her or her heart and determination is gonna help her win Immunity at the Final Three. While being an original Jalapao should help her get votes from J.T. and/or Spencer, it's not a sure thing that she can get the votes she needs. Who Sandy sits next to is going to be important for her if she wants to win.

ROUND TABLE: Spencer Duhm
|
SPENCER DUHM, 19, Student,
Lakeland, FL.
Tribe History: Jalapao, Timbira, Novo How He Can Get to the Final Two: Lasercatz: The youngest Survivor ever has escaped 9 Tribal Councils without a single vote, despite being labeled a threat. With alliances with several castaways, he could continue his streak all the way to the end.
DarrahColleenJerri: Spencer is in a perfect position. He has Sandy with him and supposedly an alliance with Candace and Tyson and if he doesn't feel like that is working out for him he can go to Erinn and Jerry who were just betrayed by their fellow Timbiran's. However, I think he'll need that immunity necklace at Final Three to take that last step towards $1,000,000.00.
KittyPryde1: He's got a good social game right now and Tyson might be more interesting in taking out Erinn or Jerry after these last two rounds. He's pretty much the only potential physical competition Tyson has at this point, so immunity isn't all that unlikely either.
Mr X819: Take a page from Tyson's book and look out only for himself and his ally Sandy. He should really only take this new alliance with Tyson and Candace with a grain of salt, knowing how easily Tyson can betray alliances. Keeping people like Erinn and Tyson in this game will make him fade into the background. And like Jerry, he would probably need a Final 3 Immunity win, depending on the Final 3. tropical rain: Since Spencer was the swing vote this episode, he needs to continue to be that person and keep his options open. He has the social game to make it to the end. He just needs to make sure that he doesn't get caught up in his double dealings. Why He'll Win: Lasercatz: Completely going against the odds and getting to the end would definitely shock the jury into place. The underdog story always seems to win over a jury.
DarrahColleenJerri: The little engine that could? After having a target on his back Tribal Council after Tribal Council why wouldn't he win? He played smart, made no enemies and was an under dog if there ever was one. Jury gold.
KittyPryde1: This one is a no-brainer. He's the biggest threat left in the game. Strategically, he's been an underdog, but he's played smart. Socially, everyone likes him. Physically, he can win challenges. And as a former Jalapao, he has that working in his favor as well.
Mr X819: Though he hasn't been in the majority of a lot of votes, he has made several moves to keep himself three more days, majorly convincing Carolina and Erinn to vote against Debbie and planning with Tyson to take out Taj. Though he's quite the novice to the game, he has had his head in it, and has dodged the bullet several times. And like Sandy, being a Jalapao in the Final 2 will help him greatly.
tropical rain: He's been the brains of old Jalapao and will probably beat anyone in the finals unless people stick to tribal lines... not sure if he'd beat Tyson or not though. Lasercatz: Spencer is too much of a threat, and there are very few other threats remaining in the game. Spencer needs an immunity run or his luck will finally run out.
DarrahColleenJerri: Who wants to sit next to that in a Final Two jury vote? I wouldn't.
KittyPryde1: No one is going to let him anywhere near the finals. Screwing over Taj and Carolina is not going to endear him to the extra votes he needs next round: Jerry and Erinn. Everyone knows he's going to win if he makes it to the end, so keeping him around at this point would be suicide. Plus, if he does make the finals, the fact that he sided with Tyson might hurt him as people might not like that move.
Mr X819: The fact that he has been on the outs of several votes (Sydney, Joe, JT) may give off the impression that he's not as much of a strategic mastermind as he wants to be. Also, like Sandy again, there might not be a great chance that the people left in the game would let a Jalapao get to the Final 2.
tropical rain: He's the biggest Jalapao player and the people are stupid if they take him anywhere near the finals. Overall Verdict: Lasercatz: 5th
DarrahColleenJerri: ODDS 2-1
KittyPryde1: Sorry Spencer, but I can't see Tyson keeping you around after voting out two non-threats, especially since he's closer with Sandy. 6th Place.
Mr X819: I think Tyson and Candace would want to get rid of him sooner rather than later. He's probably looked at as much more of a threat, physically and strategically, over Sandy. If left to them, they wouldn't let him get close to the finals.
tropical rain: He can manipulate his way to the final two and then he'll win. He may win. Jeff's Thoughts: For a 19 year-old kid who came into the game with not as much life experience as everyone else, Spencer has held up extremely well. Out of
everyone left, I think he's going to have the hardest time sticking around because he's been so strong in every aspect. Strategically, his head is in
the game. He's made good relationships and even though he might have betrayed some people on the jury, they don't hate him for it.

ROUND TABLE: Tyson Apostol
|
TYSON APOSTOL, 29, Pro Cyclist,
Lindon, UT.
Tribe History: Timbira, Jalapao, Novo How He Can Get to the Final Two: Lasercatz: The arrogant cyclist has played a dominant game.
DarrahColleenJerri: He's made the majority of the big moves this season and he's done it easily and with everyone still in love with him. He has Candace eating out of his hand and probably Sandy as well after he saved her last week. If a majority is formed against him he's physical enough that he could rely on Immunity to see him through those last few Tribal Councils.
KittyPryde1: Everyone believes every word he says, so he should have no problem convincing people to not vote him out, and then, should he lose the final immunity challenge, it shouldn't be too hard for him to explain that he's a goat to whoever is making the decision. Or he could just challenge whore his way all the way to the finals.
Mr X819: Just keep doing what he's doing! He's been nothing but cocky, making him a great character, and also a perfect possible goat for the Final 2. He's also been in the majority of every single Tribal Council he's gone to. He knows how to play this game and right now he's in the best position. One more Immunity win or two, plus some more cocky strategizing that he does so well can easily get him into the finals.
tropical rain: Tyson is in control of this game right now and has Candace wrapped around his finger. If he can secure Erinn and Jerry he can walk his way to the final two. He also has the old Jalapao in his back pocket so he has a lot of options. Why He'll Win: Lasercatz: Tyson might be the biggest threat in the game, but if the threat still made it to the Final Two, the jury might have no choice but to vote for him.
DarrahColleenJerri: He's been the power house all season. Anyone who messes with Tyson has ended up gone. Surely the jury will respect that.
KittyPryde1: He's been completely dominant in this game. He's been in on every strategic decision thus far and he's managed to keep his neck off the chopping block despite several people knowing that he needed to go. He's got a way with words that just makes people believe him.
Mr X819: If the jury votes based on gameplay, it's no contest. He is without a doubt playing the game to its fullest, and a jury would definitely respect that.
tropical rain: He's controlled a lot of the game and everyone knows it. Lasercatz: Tyson needs to make better social relationships fast, or not enough jury members will respect him enough to give him the money.
DarrahColleenJerri: Broken promises = broken hearts. Can he charm over a jury that he sweet talked then backstabbed? And will they find his jokes and smirks endearing after suffering the harsh reality of a dose of Ponderosa at his hands?
KittyPryde1: He's also been kind of a dick, and for the same reason why Spencer keeping him was stupid, him keeping Spencer was equally stupid, and I wouldn't be surprised if it hurts him the very next round, given that there's now officially three potential pairs left in the game. Plus, people might not reward his behavior either.
Mr X819: Could face the same fate as Boston Rob. While a jury could vote based on gameplay, it could also vote based on morals. And Tyson's betrayals and general treatment of his other tribemembers might come back to bite him.
tropical rain: He's getting too caught up in himself lol. Overall Verdict: Lasercatz: 2nd
DarrahColleenJerri: ODDS 3-1
KittyPryde1: The best storyline for a true villain is to come so close to achieving his or her goal, only to be defeated by someone who he or she underestimated, thus falling just short, a la Fairplay. 3rd Place.
Mr X819: He has a great chance of getting to the Final 2. From then on, it all depends on how he does in front of the jury.
tropical rain: He has the game and will win it if he's not stupid. He may win. Jeff's Thoughts: We've seen Tyson manipulate everyone on his tribe masterfully and get them to do exactly what he wanted them to do without them
knowing it. He has a way of saying things that are really meant to insult people and still have it come across as humorous. If he's able to use that and
disarm a potentially bitter jury with humor, he could win overwhelmingly, but if he continues to talk about how awesome he thinks he is, he could be in for a
rude awakening. Was he the best player this season? Probably. But you never know what a jury is looking for in the end.

Hello Erinnloveee! Thank you very much for reading and commenting on the episode! I appreciate it and I enjoyed reading
what you had to say! :)
I liked the strategy but it was a lose lose vote for me. Sandy & Carolina are two of my favorites this season. I suppose I'm glad Sandy stayed since she has the better edit and the better chance of winning. I also like how this vote sets Erinn up as an underdog. Thanks - sorry that you had to lose one of your favorites though. The rice scene because I love how Sandy just ignored what Carolina said completely. <3Well, according to the way the scene was edited, she even added more water after Carolina told her not to. I'm glad a lot of people liked this scene. :) 8Thanks for the 8. I'm happy with that! It was kindof for personal reasons due to her being an annoyance, but it was also because she was power tripping and still trying to be in control of things, which was more threatening to Tyson and Candace. Erinn was playing the backseat role which allowed her to stick around longer than Carolina. Aren't you glad that Erinn stayed though?? Thanks for your predictions and for filling out the Popularity Poll! Tyson will weasel his way out of another vote by convincing everyone that Jerry hasn't pissed anyone off and will win if he goes any further.Interesting idea. I could see something like that happening! I appreciate your comments on each of the characters. I think she's starting to get a bit more development and even become more involved in the decision making. Carolina - 9 (What an epic bitch)Lol, glad she was a memorable one!! Jerry - 5 (Even when he gets airtime he's just stale to me. I don't see what else you could do with his character from here on out)I agree, but he was never meant to be the most entertaining person. Spencer - 7 (the underdog that I'm actually not rooting for)Lol. At least you still gave him a 7, thanks. Tyson - 7 (Great villain but I'm anticipating an epic downfall)The story would just not be the same without him. Finally, thanks a lot for your excellent Edgic ratings and for your Contenders / Eliminated lists! Not much longer before we see how it all plays out! :) I think the M is right and I could see either MOR or OTTT, but I lean towards OTT for her. Spencer - CP4?Probably just MOR since I think he was more narration. 6th: Jerry [Tyson will try to save himself and throw the likeable guy under the bus]Really interesting boot list too. I could definitely see all of this happening and it would be a great ending to the story, I think!! :D Thanks again for your great comments, Erinnloveee! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! Hope you enjoy the rest of the story and have a great night! :) |

LOVE the round table idea, i enjoyed reading everyone elses thoughts :)
my preditction for final 6 order... 6; Jerry [Erinn convices S/S/T/C that he is alot more likable than her, and he would get more votes.] 5; Spencer [blindside by T/C cos they think he is too strong So Erinn, Tyson, Candy vote him off] 4; Erinn [Tyson just decides she should go.] 3; Sandy [Tyson dont take her, cos he consider Candice a goat ala Russell's thought of Natalie in Samoa] R-U; Tyson [bitter jury in Carolina, Spencer, Sandy and maybe Jerry/Erinn would vote Candace] WINNER; Candace lol... thats actually not as far fetched as i thought, normally my predictions are near impossible.

What I see happening:
6th: Erinn. Tyson removes the person most strategically minded after him. 5th: Tyson: Tyson/Candace and Sandy/Spencer campaign for Jerry's vote. Tyson is not immune, and Jerry sides with Jalapao. 4th: Jerry: Fire Challenge with Jerry and Spencer facing off. Spencer wins and Jerry goes. 3rd: Spencer: Candace wins immunity and votes out Spencer for being a bigger threat. 2nd: Candace: Gets votes of Jerry, Carolina and Taj. 1st: Sandy: Gets votes of JT, Spencer, Erinn and suprisingly Tyson. |
