While Shambo was smiling and greeting the public on Saturday before the Finale, on Sunday she'd apparently had all the spotlight she wanted. A couple
ex-castaways report that she would neither pose with them nor sign autographs for their children at the afterparty. In my conversations with her, I got the
impression she never again wants to be associated with Survivor but just wants to put that experience behind her. If so, she is entitled to her privacy and
I'm not planning to urge her to attend any of the charity events I help sponsor.

Shambo was a polarizing character. I did not like her this season but the second I saw her, I wanted to meet her. I would not feel this way about Yau Man or
most other former Survivors. Good for her, I hope she does well in life after this, she is a sweetheart.
