I know that they film the actual show months in advance, but I thought the reading of the final votes was actually.. you know, LIVE as in when the season is finished airing on TV. So then if that's the case he (nor anyone else) would not know who won yet right?

So I don't think anyone really knows who won S20, and any winner spoilers are quite possibly fake. Just like "Amanda wins China" was fake, even though the spoilers said correctly that the F3 was Amanda, Todd and Courtney.

No, we would get in addition to the "RUSSELL THE MASTERMIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" edit a "RUSSELL THE MARTYR " edit. Jeff would never shut about him in his blog (oh wait, that already happens). Everybody watching would look for hints and find them in everything he says: "He called himself the puppet master--that means he's dangling his strings and controlling the other contestants from heaven! How could the producers have not seen the signs??? RIP." The producers would invite Shambo to deliver a eulogy at the reunion. And he would still win the fan favorite vote--his corpse would be propped up and in place at the reunion because a contract is a contract. As horrible as it sounds and as much as I hate to say it, a dead Russell would be even more unbearable to watch than a live one.
