I loved the episode. I thought the weakest parts of the episode were with JD and Turk, which gives me hope for the future of the show.

I am pissed I missed it tonight. I hope ABC is still showing full episodes online.

God this show has really deteriorated. The entire episode was unwatchable. The chemistry is way off. and considering that the original cast was so
multi-culti you'd think the new crop would be too, but it's like the revamp was pitched as Scrubs but with a Gossip Girl cast. Cancel this bitch now!

Yeah the new cast is gelling nicely. Drew's reaction to Lucy ignoring the old guy's insult and focusing solely on the 'hot stuff' comment was
adorable. Liking Cole more and more too.

"SUPER EAGLE!"
Best episode by a mile so far. Not that I disliked the first 5, just that this one was THAT enjoyable for me. Great interaction between JD and Turk. I lol'd several times. The Hardy Boys parody was made of total win. Lucy was really likable for the majority of the episode. There were still a few moments where I thought "too much", but overall, this was definitely her strongest outing yet. To that point, the Lucy/JD/Cox plot was a good one. It didn't feel overdone, even though it is. It was Cox teaching JD a lesson, teaching Lucy a lesson - a subtle (fitting) send-off for JD. Drew/Denise might be my favorite couple on TV. Eliza Coupe is an Emmy-caliber actress. With Braff leaving, I'm really looking forward to her hopefully getting even more to do. For whatever reason, I think a Turk/Denise friendship could be a great dynamic for the show Every new character has at least mostly won me over at this point, the writing feels fresh, and it is just an enjoyable 23 minutes of TV right now. After tonight, I will say that bringing Braff in was the right move, and in no way tarnished the first 8 seasons or "My Finale" in-particular. Give me next week, I'm excited to see where we go from here. |

Is Cox a permanent part of the cast? If he leaves like the other regulars then maybe I can use it as a reason to give up on the show.

Cox is permanent as is Turk.
Loved Denise/Drew negotiating their relationship. The flashback showing when she decided they were together was amazing "ALMOST stole. Big difference." Very different from JD/Elliot which is a smart move. |

I'm glad JD is done now. He's just been frakking annoying this season.

The first four episodes of this season were pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it was nice to see the Scrubs setup refreshed, but maintaining some
familiarity. This weeks episode was amazing, though. The new additions to the cast are great, I don't know how well Turk will do without JD in the cast,
but I'm sure the writers will have kept him interesting. I am kind of glad Braff is leaving at this point, though. It's as if he's portraying an
OTT caricature of JD this season and it does get a little greating. His sendoff was still pretty good though.
I am loving Cox and Denise, as well as the med students. Lucy immediately strikes me as a JD/Elliot hybrid. I also like Kelso in his recurring guest role. Christa Miller appears in the credits, and supposing it's the same Christa Miller (I mean, she is Bill Lawrence's wife after all) - hopefully Jordan will be making an appearance soon. |

I thought the last one was really great too. I agree you (Thngamajig) about Braff and very happy that he is finally gone so we can get on with this
"new" show. I actually like Cole now and loved how they had him paired with Kelso in the end. it was also nice to see the high voice chick again.

This is not like the old Scrubs at all. I find myself waking up by my snoring not even 10 minutes into the show. It has lost its magic. The story writing is horrible. Maybe we should have just let it end on last years note? |

New episode tonight at 9 - DV-R accordingly EDIT: It sounds really good btw - Turk is looking for a new-best friend (please be Denise!!) and as JD departs,
Elliot comes in to help out Lucy.

Lucy is awful. Denise is fantastic. Eliot sucks.

Cole and Drew really stepped up in his absence tonight and both have found their comfort zones as characters very early on. I got (and will hopefully continue to get) what I was hoping for with Turk/Denise and really do think that those two can have a great dynamic. I am really starting to like this 2.0. Am gonna be super bummed when they cancel it. Oh, for anyone who missed it - Scrubs (and Better Off Ted) will be doubled-up starting this Tuesday. Scrubs at 8 and 9 PM. It isn't a good sign, as ratings certainly haven't been stellar, but I think this might have been the plane all along so I won't be a super pessimist just yet. But yea, this show is really hitting its stride. Looking forward to what we have coming up.

"Haven't been stellar" - the ratings are in the bottom of the toilet - the show is something like 81st out of 101 shows from the 5 networks.
That being said, the epi from Friday night (ok I torrented it today) that was probably viewed by 29 people was solid - the JD/Turk bromance needed to end and this epi did so very well and opened some interesting doors. |

Just catching up now, finished the first episode. Cole's video at the end was hilarious "DON'T JUST STAND THERE, HELP ME UP!!! Is my hair still
cool?"
I'm really starting to love Cole. |

Me too! I loved the list of phrases he can't use anymore. "For serious!?" "That's another one!"
Grea teps. Loved the reveal of Drew's meltdown in med school the 1st time and what he was like before. Also really enjoying Cox/Turk as friends. Denise getting dressed up for Drew because he would like it but he would never ask her to was sweet. I'm really enjoying the romantic pairings this season. Denise & Drew and even Cole/Lucy are both working well in a very non-JD/Eliott way. |
