I can't prove it except by asking anyone to read each posts to see there was a continuation to my deductions. Anyway, I have a clear conscience. Fuck you for implying anything. I explained how I proceed with hints. I don't think any individual observation means much but I compile them until a pattern emerges.

So whatever made someone pick someone like Natalie without spoilers was not part of edgic. With Natalie winning it was impossible for edgic to be correct. So whether someone picked Natalie for all non-edgic reasons or just 1 non-edgic reason, they went outside edgic. It's like being disqualified from something. Whether you committed just 1 disqualifyable act or several, you still commited one and get disqualified.

Guidelines are indicative and not prescriptive. It is only Rules that are characterised by the latter. To use your game analogy, if you go for it on 4th and 28 when backed up on your own 20, you are going against the guideline of conventional wisdom based on what has occurred in the past. It's unorthodox but it doesn't get you disqualified. However, if you win by throwing an illegal forward pass from beyond the line of scrimmage, you've broken the rules and suffer the consequences. Edgic permits unorthodoxy provided the basic ground rules are met.

He was the only one who looked at individual edits of individuals players. He was the only person who broke down the edits of each player and made a conclusion thereof. He was able to justify Natalie's UTRs edgically and that's why he was correct this season. The Mick supporters did not do this. Mick's lack of tone was not explained. Mick's extreme MORness was not explained. Mick's bad merge numbers when Foa Foa was so central to the story was not explained. Natalie's faults were explained by Getting Real, which is what Edgic is about: The logic of an edit. Why was Natalie UTR? Because she was being hidden from Russ's negativity and as part of a collective edit of women. Getting Real did this. Nobody else did. Like I posted after the finale, people here instead tried to compare Natalie, Russell and Mick's edits to former winners against which little is shared and no real insight can be gained. If Edgic had focused more on individual edits then winner's comparisons, Edgic would've got Natalie, Todd, Bob and JT. Read the Cook Islands Edgic thread. The arguments in there are all about individual edits. GodIsAnAthiest/Jonathan, Pastordice/Yul, GuatemalaFanfic/Ozzy, even Craig/Parvati. Cook Islands was the last season about about individual edits. Starting with Fiji then Edgic has become far to occupied with comparative edits. And how well has Edgic preformed since then?

Of course he isn't infallible either, lest we forget the Corrine and Erinn winner picks. Nothing is 100% perfect, whether it's edgic or story analysis.

What is so hard? Is it really that hard? They should watch Pearl Islands or something. Maybe Amazon. Marquesas, something. Why can't they? Oh and please go back to doing the song like they used to and please add tribal music back to normal.

Yes, but he waltzed into this thread bragging about it and trying to argue that Mick's edit was worse that Nat's edit edgically, WHICH IS NOT TRUE. Does anyone have ANY idea why panurge's thread is ignored season after season, even by sucksters like gr whose theories really fit in that thread better than this thread ?

There were problems in his tone and in his complexity. Yet those problems PALED in comparison to Nat's Edit problems. Ignored until episode four when her tribe went to TC for the first three episodes. A SEVERE lack of confessionals (visibility). A SEVERE lack of visibility and TCQs at TC. An INV (s/b two or three). A boatload of of UTRs. Ignored for long stretches of the season (twice).

Mick's edit was pretty much Joe from Tocantins, except he got to last until the final 3 instead of being evacuated at the merger. Same boring, MOR edit.
