notice i said "at the end" cause he wouldve been voted out if he lost the rest of the time id say his strat was to provide, and be semi-likeable am i wrong? and it was impressive that he almost won, considering it was a 5-4 vote |

1. Pearl Islands- Amazing season, Outcast twist was one of my favorites (for Burton) even though many people hate it. We were introduced to some great characters like Rupert, Jonny Fairplay, and Sandra who despite what many people say, is an INCREDIBLE strategist.
2. China- This was a great season. I don't think the casting nailed a better cast since Borneo. Every character was interesting and had their own gameplay (except Erik, he was boring). Todd I think was one of if not the best winner cause like Hatch, he figured out the game from Day 1 and ended up winning it. This season introduced us to Todd Herzog, Amanda Kimmel the infamous 2nd place-er, James Clement, Courtney Yates, and personally, I think Frosti should get called back to play again he's sooo underrated. 3. Borneo- Obviously this season was gonna be high on the list, Richard Hatch freakin' invented the game of Survivor. He used the concept of an alliance as he calls it, to strengthen his chances of making further in the game. Along with that, great casting, Gretchen being what I consider the FIRST official blindside, and it was just sort of magical. I really wish Greg Buis gets called back because HE was a great player and quite frankly, was the bit of comic relief the show needed. 4. Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites- This time, the all-star edition paid off. We didn't get much from the fans apart from Natalie and Erik being famous for his legendary stupidity getting blindsided while wearing immunity. The favorites on the other hand WOW. I thought in the beginning, it was gonna be like All-stars seeing the great prospects like Johnathan and Yau-man go early, but Ozzy was once again a force to be reckoned with, and Parvati, WOW Parvati really stepped it up and she owned that game. 5. Cook Islands- It was a bold move by Burnett to divide the tribes by race but, they abandoned it by the 2nd episode. The game was very physical this time around with Ozzy and Yul but the elimination of the original Raro tribe during the merge was great to watch and the mutiny with Candice and Johnathan was the highlight of the season. Yul deserved to win that season and is one of if not THE, best all-around player the game has seen. 6. Vanuatu: Islands of Fire- Hot off the dramatic closing to All-stars, Vanuatu just couldn't live up to its expectations but it was still a great season. I think Chris Daugherty is one of the best survivor winners ever. Defying the odds and making it past 6 women when he was outnumbered, it was almost as epic as the comeback from Cook Islands with the Aitu 4. Or from Samoa, the Foa Foa 4. Some great characters came out of this season like the ever so annoying Eliza Orlins, the ultimate survivor feminist Ami Cusack, and the amputee Chad who actually made it kinda far. 7. Tocantins: The Brazilian Highlands- This was a great season, to start out, we have one of the most annoying survivors ever (Sandy) actually survive a couple of episodes before being voted out. Then, we have the immense number of characters that emerged from this show. J.T., Stephen, Tyson, Coach, heck some people even say Sierra stands out for overcoming the odds and blindsiding Tyson. It was a great finish too although I was kind of rooting for Stephen. 8. The Amazon: It was a good season and the battle of the sexes was great too. Rob Cesternino emerged as being one of the greatest survivors to never win. This season is of course memorable for Jenna Morasca and Heidi Strobel stripping for chocolate and peanut butter and Jenna surprisingly has used her survivor fame well to be covering news reports at the survivor 10 year anniversary party, and dating Ethan Zohn. 9. All-stars- This season really drew the line between old school survivor, and new school survivor. All of the people I expected to do great just came up short because Jenna Lewis started targeting winners which is a crappy way to play and I'm so happy they're not doing that on Heroes vs. Villains. This season had the most predictable boot order EVER. It basically no fun to watch after the immunity challenge was over. Also, I hated that the people who really didn't deserve to be in All-stars were the ones that made it far, like Jenna Lewis and Amber. I'd rather see a final four of Lex, Kathy, Colby, and Ethan. Now THAT would've been good. But no, instead we got a hyped about season with a predictable ending and there ending the "old school" survivor period. 10. Palau- I really enjoyed the game Pre-merge. The decimation of Ulong was VERY fun to watch. After the merge, I could really see the lack of experience pre-merge gameplay wise, that Korror had. If it had been any other season, Tom would've been 2nd or 3rd on the jury. And Ian, oh come on he was great until that last challenge where the turned a potentially awesome final tribal council of Tom vs. Ian, into a quit from a challenge, followed by another boring final tribal where it was clear that Tom was gonna win. Another very predictable boot order for the season post-merge. 11. Samoa- Alright I actually don't blame the cast for this one I blame the editing. The season was completely centered around Russell which is somewhat okay but they took it to lengths to where Brett who got NO SCREEN TIME, suddenly emerged as this great hero in the last 2 episodes. I think the casting was terrible, the only good characters we got out of it were Russell and Shambo, the rest were dull. Especially Brett, UGH Brett, absolutely NO TV personality. In the end, Russell should have won. They had a bitter jury and I don't know why Erik was campaigning so hard for Natalie, the one thing she did well in that game was screw over Erik, you'd think he'd be the LAST person to support Natalie, but of course he would cause Galu were just all stupid! 12. Gabon: Earth's Last Eden- This season was VERY light on the physical competitors. It was so light on them that old Bob could beat them all out and win his way to the final 3 and get the vote. This was the season where Exile Island was at its worst with the same person (Sugar) being sent every time, AND not even looking for the Idol. Randy was pretty entertaining too and I wish Kenny had come back for Heroes vs. Villains and Corinne too. 13. The Australian Outback- I do not like this season as much as everyone else seems to. It was more about the survival aspect then the game considering the starvation, and the flooding, and the giving up the texas flag for rice. I don't think Jerri was really a "villain" she was just really annoying. One of the most predictable boot orders in survivor history, it was just shy on game. 14. Africa- A solid season capped off by great moments from Big Tom and Ethan. Lex is my all time favorite player and I loved the location personally. Ethan has been a great winner and has done much with his survivor fame and I commend him on his battle against cancer. 15. Guatemala: The Mayan Empire- Nothing I REPEAT NOTHING came good out of this season. Granted, I think Judd should've been called back for a villain but, Bobby Jon did crap, and Stephanie tarnished her "America's sweetheart" reputation and I think Gary Hogeboom was very underrated and actually was pretty good at the game. Danni was not a particularly memorable winner and this is just an okay season. 16. Marquesas- We got Boston Rob out of this season and I guess that was good and Kathy was great too, but I can't get over that purple rock twist. It sucked. Paschal got NO VOTES. If anything they should've drawn it between Kathy and Neleh. It just bugs me that Paschal could've won but instead his name lives on in infamy with the twist that contestants still speak of today but it will hopefully NEVER BE USED AGAIN! 17. Panama: Exile Island- This had a bad ring to it right off the start. Going back to Panama for a THIRD time, 4 tribes, and in the end, Terry got robbed. Danielle doesn't really deserve to be on Heroes vs. Villains, they should've given that spot to Shane Powers but no, Jonny Fairplay took his spot in Micronesia, and Russell took his spot on Heroes vs. Villains. The dude has bad luck. Aras was not a great winner. It was blah. 18. Fiji- This was a BAD season right off the bat they divide tribes on the "Haves and Have not's" which was a TERRIBLE idea. The whole finale was a fluke cause that was really Yau-mans season to lose. It would've been a decent season if Dreamz kept his word and Yau-man came out on top, but once you saw the final 3, everyone hates Dreamz, Cassandra did NOTHING, Earl did nothing, but he won challenges so they hated him the least 19. Thailand- What an awful season, the cast mostly being old farts and no great characters other then Shii-ann who is mildly interesting came out of that season. Brian Heidek shot a puppy with a bow and arrow. That is NOT good representation as a Survivor winner. Probst hates it too and because Heidek got arrested he has not been invited back despite him actually being a good gameplayer. |

1. Amazon -- Nice mix of attitudes and egos, with good character development. Consistent characters.
2. Thailand -- Most strategically competitive season. 3. Africa -- Very exciting throughout, but I hate the whole cast. 4. Marquesas -- Most memorable players, crazy and unpredictable gameplay. 5. Pearl Islands -- This is when the editing style became more game oriented. 6. Tocantins -- Throwback to earlier seasons. 7. Samoa -- Some of the most original challenges. 8. China -- Gave us the greatest villain in survivor history. 9. Vanuatu -- Great cast. Chris played a great subtle game. 10. Borneo -- Very boring gameplay. 11. Palau -- Wacky season with some crazy people. 12. Fiji -- Was kind of like an epic movie. 13. All Stars -- Messy and unimportant twist but the good cast saves it. 14. Australian Outback -- Very strong cast. 15. Panama Exile Island -- I really liked it despite it's all around poor gameplay. 16. Gabon -- The concept was cool. The characters were just okay. 17. Cook Islands -- There was nothing good about it but at least it wasn't the worst. 18. Micronesia -- Predictable stretch after Jason left. 19. Guatemala -- It is just a bummer Danni won. |

I'm not trying to attack your opinion (which I respect), but why don't you think Thailand was strategically competitive? Brian is in my opinion one of the greatest winners ever of the game!! Also, Samoa had Great challenges!! For example, the ones that caused injuries, and I liked that number pattern coconut one post merge, and a lot of them were based on board games which I enjoyed as a kid that sort of made me laugh because they were great to see in an island survivor setting that anyone could win! For example that coconut on with the ropes was like Kerplunk! The one with the shaped pegs was like Pop goes Perfection! They had bowling, Tee ball, it was like a goodbye to only physical people can do well in a challenge.
Oh, and if I'm understanding what a ghostie is, I'm not one of thaisu. |

#1 Palau -The first season I watched and still the best. Out of every season, I think this one has the least producer-intervention; just the double tribal and Janu's exile island. That only leaves honest characters and stories.Just reposting my original list from the thread that got locked... |

1. Micronesia - Most re-watchable, good pre-merge and epic post-merge. The fans kind of sucked though, but at least they provided plenty of lulz.
2. Amazon - Rob Cesternino. Also, amazing amounts of sex-fueled moments of awesomeness. The last of what I consider the old-school Survivor style, and probably the best. 3. Heroes vs. Villains - Best cast, most unpredictable vote-out wise, never really slowed won. Only reason it's not number one is that it's a little too over the top and sometimes lacking in character development. 4. China - A breath of fresh air after the awful Cooks/Fiji combo of minority mactors, finally with a likable group. The best player of the season, Todd, winning was nice as well. 5. Vanuatu - Hated on, and I don't see why. Chris' vengeance story was fantastic, and while the pre-merge dragged on a bit, the strategies were always evolving. 6. Marquesas - Love the cast, love the underdogs taking over the Rotu 4, love Boston Rob pre-fame poisoning. Some great characters were eliminated too early though, and it's pretty predictable. 7. Australia - So many iconic moments, and while still the basic format of Survivor, just better than Borneo in every way. This season is what made me fall in love with Survivor. 8. Palau - Too bad it was more the likable tribe that was wiped out. Also, too bad Ian's an emotional wreck. Still, an exciting season. 9. Pearl Islands - Rupert pre-poopert, Jonny Fairplay, Lillface, and although it screwed the rest of the season over, the Outcasts twist was quite exciting at the time. 10. Africa - Doesn't get the love it deserves. Very strong cast, had the requisite hero and villain working together, there was the tribal switch, and of course Generation X vs. the old folks. 11. Samoa - Loved Russell in Samoa, won't lie. Post-merge this season ruled. Pre-merged it was pretty weak, and had some of the most underdeveloped characters of every season. 12. Panama - Great cast, predictable season. Lots of lovable assholes. 13. Gabon - Constantly changing strategy, finally introduced HD Survivor, although some of the worst players made it to the end. 14. Tocantins - Fun cast, but very boring at times for a modern version of Survivor. 15. All-Stars - More awkward than fun to watch. Had its share of epic moments, but didn't live up to the hype. 16. Borneo - Predictable and downright pre-historic, but of course it was awesome to watch at the time. It's hard to watch all the aversion to strategy, however. 17. Thailand - A little too hated on, the characters were well developed, and besides the pagonging, the strategy kept you on your toes. 18. Cook Islands - Simply didn't like the cast. Predictable for much of the season too. 19. Guatemala - Lots of unlikable people, and although there were plenty of surprising vote-outs, I didn't like the contestants enough to care much. 20. Fiji - Poor man's Cook Islands = ughhhhhhhh
