Ponderosa or Loser Lodge is reserved for jury, but often I wondered what places people like Marisa, Mike, and other season pre-jury castaways go to lick their wounds?
Does survivor have incognito locations setup around the world to prevent spoilers?

I think there is a Loser Lounge were the Pre-Jury boots go, then after the last pre-jury boot arrives, they depart back to the US, and the Loser's
Lounge is re-baptised as "Ponderosa".

They stay at Ponderosa until the jury starts, and then they go on a trip of somekind for the rest of the game.

In Borneo they were allowed to return home--I'm not sure what happened with the ones who decided not to, or stuck around for a few days like Sonja and
Gretchen. But BB was speculated to be the first boot because of this and was reported as such in Entertainment Weekly.
If you can find Varner's thread, he shared some neat details about this. Apparently in Outback they stayed there and were allowed to roam around--but the lady who was supposed to be in charge of them freaked out when she lost track of Jeff and that was the catalyst for the pre-jury trips. |

NickF227 wrote: True story. The trip is always to some relatively close tourist destination. In the past, pre-jury casts have gone to Thailand, Australia, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Sao Tome, to name a few. Sometimes the pre-jurors go in one big group, and other times they're split up into separate trips. There are always a couple chaperons and we're not allowed to use phones, computers, or credit cards. Other than that, though, it's a free-for-all for what you want to do. |

How did you manage to use a computer to find out that Gary played in the NFL then?

Margaret and I wanted to settle the Gary thing once and for all (and we were curious how much of the cast had been spoiled), so we snuck away one day, telling our chaperons we were going to lunch and needed some cash. Margaret and I were the "responsible" ones of the bunch, so no one was concerned about us going off alone. As for a per-Survivor budget, I have no clue. We did a LOT of stuff, though, and had a ton of food and drinks on top of it all. The accommodations were fantastic; we stayed in this little apartment-hotel complex and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. It was a fantastic 18-day trip. |

I remember reading something about the ASS prejury boots.
Jenna and Sue went home, but Tina, Rudy, and Rob C went horseback riding or somewhere, and Rich, Colby, Ethan, and Jerri all went somewhere else...and I bet that was a fun trip for the four of them... |

Hi Brian, nice to see you come out of lurkdom. I know Cecilia said they came here to Australia, and a few of the others too - as it seems a lot of the locations are nearby eg Vanuatu, Cook Islands, Fiji etc. |
