My son will be going to U of Illinois next year and my daughter goes to the Ohio State University, so we are a Big Ten household. I know. Who cares? Anyway,
one of my friend's kids goes to U of Chicago and loves it. Good luck.

Haverford/Swarthmore/H I love love love. (I spent 7 weeks in a dorm at H. most amazing 7 weeks of my life.)
for reputation, UVa/Pton/Williams/Duke. Middlebury I like alot. i'm a pretty shy/artsy guy in person, thus the lot of smaller liberal arts schools. |

I got to go on lots of fun recruiting weekends. The colleges would set you up with an undergrad majoring in your area of interest and you got to stay in the
dorms with them and hang out with them. This was when the drinking age was still 18. Lots of fun for a 15 yo! I'm sure that the admissions folks didn't
tell them "Get these kids as trashed as possible without involving the law or paramedics" but that's what they did.
Signing an early letter of intent locked in tuition rates where I ended up. It was WAY cheaper to go to an in-state public school w/no scholarship $$ than out-of-state or private with partial scholarship $$. I am a classic underachiever, btw. |
