I read somewhere she is now in the 6 million worldwide sales mark. But that was a while ago. She is a machine.

To compare, Leona "Dead Eyes" Lewis sold 7 million of "Spirit" worldwide after years. Just to compare and to date, that was Simon's big artist (exception of Westlife)

2009's global chart year has ended and PO has sold a total of 1.203.000 copies(Compare with 1.6 million for "Carnival Ride" and 1.4 million for "Some Hearts"), it just missed the Top 40 on the year end chart as the #36 to #40 albums this years are all selling at 1.3 million copies(namely Britney Spears' "Circus", Various Artists' "Mamma Mia!(The Movie Soundtrack)", Kelly Clarkson's "All I Ever Wanted", The Beatles' "Abbey Road" and Katy Perry's "One of The Boys")

pretty good for a November 2009 album. I'm surprised all those 2008 albums beat out Kelly.

Yeah, it's hard to phrase lol. I was just wondering if an Idol's two most recent releases were the highest selling latest Idol albums, which Carrie will have done soon (Play On being the #1 Idol album since Carrie's last effort Carnival Ride). I wonder if Kelly did it with Thankful/Breakaway, but Clay might have sneaked his debut in there. Anyways, it's not that important, just fun trivia.

yeah I think that might be the case. she's the first Idol to sell more than a million with every release in the U.S.

Clay's debut sold more than Thankful by about 100K give or take (US sales only of course).
