I never really cared much for historical dramas until this year. Until then I had been all about horror, action, and sci-fi flicks. However, after seeing a bunch of amazing films early in the year (a lot of which you'll see at the top of this list), I became interested in the genre. But as you can see by this movie being ranked DEAD LAST, I wasn't too impressed by Klimt.

Let me just say, I am very, VERY easily entertained. Movies don't come along very often that I basically just give up on. Klimt was one of those movies. Despite my spiked interest in historical films, I'm not very big on art. I decided to give this movie a chance however, because (random Rudy trivia alert!!) my job has many Gustav Klimt paintings in the bathrooms. Don't ask me why.

Anyway.... this movie was a major test of my patience. I understand that, being about a painter, it wasn't exactly going to be the most action filled movie ever. But JESUS FUCKING CHRIST it was boring. And confusing too. I wanted to give up 20 minutes into the film. But because I am OCD and must finish every movie I start, I forced myself to sit through this. And I hated every second of it. No one wants to watch a bunch of old, boring, pretentious dickfaces blather on and on about some stupid shit that we don't care about. That's all this movie is, is talking. Not just talking - mindless drivel. Oh yeah, I went there. And to top it off, the film just jumps around from scene to scene and time period to time period seemingly at random. No one ever explains what the hell is goin on. It is very confusing, and unfun.

The only redeeming thing about this movie is that Klimt painted a lot of nude chicks. So there are lots of naked girls in this movie. Yawn. I'd rather watch porn. OK, there is nothing redeeming about this movie. You suck. kthxbye!

I hate chick flicks. With a passion. Sorry in advance to anyone here who happens to adore them. Seeing as how there are so many gay guys and middle aged fraus that dominate Sucks, that's probably like everyone. Sorry again.

OK, no I'm not sorry! The only reason I watched this is because my girlfriend made me. I want the wasted time of my life back that I spent watching this. This movie sucked some major ass. How the fuck can you people sit through this shit? Not only is it mind numbingly boring, it's also totally unfunny. If it was funny or made me laugh, I could have possible forgiven it a little bit. But no, apparently that's asking too much. It's not even unintentionally funny. Seriously. There is no entertainment value to be found here whatsoever.

What else is there to say? This movie is dull and made me repeatedly nod off while watching it. I only rank this ahead of Klimt, because at least I expected this to be bad. Bye now.

You've got to start somewhere...

Ya know, I really remember liking the Conan movies when I was a kid. When I think back on them, I imagine an exciting movie with swordfights, wizards, sorceresses, and of course - Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Let's just say... ummm... I don't know what movie I was remembering. This film is painfully dull and uninteresting. The story is not only confusing as hell, but the dialogue and acting SUCK! You never really know what's going on half the time. Again, if this were exciting and there were good action scenes and whatnot, I would be more willing to forgive it. But it doesn't even have that going for it. Some movies can pull off cheesy B-acting and shoddy special effects, and still retain a certain level of classic charm. This one, can not. And it's extremely long too. Like well over 2 hours long. Thanks but no thanks. And that's all I've got to say about that.

Just like Fantastic 4 debunked my theory about superhero movies not sucking, House of the Dead does the same thing for zombie movies. Seriously, this movie blows. I don't think I've seen a worse zombie movie. Why do all video game to big screen adaptations have to suck? I expected it though, so no surprises there. Not only is the acting terrible and the action unrealistic, but the clips of gameplay they mix in from the video games make this a laugher. I mean, seriously. In the movie there will be a group of people running from zombies, and then it will flash over to a clip from the video game of a zombie popping up on the screen and getting shot, spraying green blood everywhere. WTF

There are lots of tits in this movie, but the only purpose they serve is to try and make this movie appealing to someone (AKA pubescent teen boys). It's not working on me. It does earn props for being unintentionally funny. I have to give it that. If you ever have friends over and want to watch something so god awfully bad, it's entertaining - put this on.

Despite the negative things I had read about this movie, I approached it with an open mind. I'm a sci fi fan, and my tastes are a little bizarre, in case you haven't noticed already. I figured I might like it. Turns out, I should have listened to the reviews. It starts out ok. It's a little silly but I was willing to deal with it. After the first half hour or so is when it started to sink in that I was going to hate this movie. The rest of the film became an exercise in patience, as I struggled to comprehend or care what was going on on the screen. It was ridiculous. And boring. The second half of this movie definitely put me to sleep.

Me no likey.

AKA midgets stealing cars

This is not to be confused with the horror movie Joy Ride about the evil trucker dude and the CB radio. I actually kinda liked that movie, although I didn't watch it this year. This Joyride is Tobey McGuire's first major role in a motion picture, and it shows. This film is extremely low budget and has some of the worst filming effects I have ever seen. I don't know how to describe it, but it's just cheesy. You know how soap operas are filmed differently from regular shows? This movie is like that. Blech.

Plotwise, I don't remember much. This was one of the first movies I watched this year. Tobey McGuire works at a hotel and steals some lady's car. This lady happens to be some kind of spy/killer and of course she comes after Toby and his friends. This movie is really boring, slow moving, and poorly acted - in addition to the weird filming. The only good thing about it is that there are some hot chicks in this movie. But you can find that anywhere, really. I would steer clear of this if I were you.

I had to wiki Uwe Boll because I didn't know who that was.

All his movies suck. WTF is up with this guy? He srsly needs to find another line of work because he can't make movies to save his life. And he wants to make a Metal Gear movie too? Fuck that.

Stirred, not shaken

I absolutely loved Casino Royale, so I was excited to dive into it's sequel - Quantum of Solace. Let me just say that I did not like it at all. I think there are several things that detracted from this movie for me. The first being that it was a continuation of the events that happened at the end of Casino Royale. It's been over a year since I have seen that movie, so right off the bat I had no idea what was going on. I wish they had just done a new Bond flick where I didn't have to remember anything from the original. Add to that the fact the plot is a convoluted, confusing mess that I never really was able to get a grasp on. I already have forgotten what it's about, and it hasn't been that long since I saw it.

This movie was also less about Bond as a person, which was one of the coolest things about Casino Royale - getting to know the man behind the 007 tag. The action sequences were cool, I guess. But as a whole it was pretty boring. Overall, I lost interest and this movie became background material while I spent the rest of the time this was on on Facebook.

Why?

Ugh. Everyone I know goes gaga over this movie, and I don't know why. I hate it. And I don't even have anything against sci fi. I love it. Movies like Star Wars,and shows like Firefly and Battlestar Galactica are some of my favos ever. So you would think that I would like this. But I don't. The acting is bad, and the special effects (while ok in parts) are really, really corny for the most part. The plot is ridiculous and not amusing at all. I don't know if this movie tries to be bad, and that's why people like it? That's got to be it.

This movie just needs to decide if it wants to be a serious sci-fi film or a goofy comedy. I don't enjoy the mix of the two. I don't know. I tried it and I don't like it one bit. I seriously don't know why people like this movie. Can someone please enlighten me? I'm sure I'll give it another try at some point in my life and see if my mind changes, but I doubt it.

Let me start by saying that this is the remake version of Psycho. It's not really clear from the picture I posted.

I know that most Psycho purists tend to hate this movie for some reason, although it is an exact scene for scene replica of the original. Having never seen the original, I came into this one with an open mind. Bleh. If this is indeed a scene for scene replica, I probably wouldn't like the original either. It's just really slow moving and boring. And not scary at all. Not even creepy. I suppose it doesn't help that I already knew the big secret - that Norman's mother is really dead, and that he has multiple personalities and acts as her. Not sure if it would have mattered if I knew or not. Didn't like this movie.

Oh yeah and every time I see Viggo Mortensen in a movie, I can't help but think of him as Aragorn. It happened again in this one.

You aren't missing anything. I can't believe I watched so many movie that I absolutely hated this year. There's still more to come too.
