Reap me
When I initially read the description for this film, I was intrigued. Hilary Swank plays an investigator who is called to a small town when their river turns into blood. Other signs of the Biblical plagues start popping up too - swarms of flies and locusts randomly appear. Frogs start dropping from the sky. That kind of thing. As intriguing as it sounds, this film is a big letdown. Most of the stuff that happens in this film is in dreams, which pisses me off. I hate it when they lead you to believe something is real, only for you to find out that it's all in a dream. And this movie does it like a hundred times. Fuckers! As for the actual plot, it has something to do with Satan and the Antichrist. I was too bored, and it was too confusing with all the dream sequences to really know what was going on. I didnt like it.

Troubled waters ahead
I wasn't a big fan of this movie. It's basically an artsy fartsy spoof about some Jeac Cousteau clone named Steve Zissou, played by Bill Muray. I didn't find the jokes or sense of humor in this film very funny at all. It all seemed very pretentious. I just sat there through the whole movie rolling my eyes at everything that happened, waiting for it to just be over. That's how much I liked it. So yeah, that's why it placed so low.
Random Rudy trivia - back in Jun's House 4, White Boy (played by Super Jude) asked me a jury question about this movie. I answered it with a bunch of BS, because I had never seen the movie back then. About halfway through watching this movie, it suddenly clicked in my head - "oh yeah, this is the movie SJ asked me about in JH4!" Yeah, that was the highlight of the film. Which says a lot.
