Tvguide.com is reporting that Julie Benz from "Dexter" and the "Buffy"-verse is joining Desperate Housewives in a guest-starring role. Sources tell the magazine that Benz has been cast as Debbie, a stripper with a Master's degree who is offered a chance to transition into a more stable career path by Susan.

Give Felicity Huffman the Emmy now. The portrayal of her as a frustrated mother with a handicapped child was spot on.

I was bored with this episode too. It was kind of obvious who was going to survive. This episode was a complete letdown.

I was very disappointed with the emotional impact the episode had, considering that one of the S1 characters died.
But then Felicity Huffman's last few scenes happened, and part of me was just so surprised at how... good it was. It was so well done, and Felicity Huffman was amazing. |

I'll be interested to see if Felicity's character will mourn the loss more. As someone who has had a miscarriage, I'll be annoyed if they gloss
over it again in one episode like they did with Gabby.

Probably not. Lynette had one episode post-supermarket hostage where she dealt with the after-effects, and then it was as if the whole thing had never
happened.
The scenes with the handicapped son were out-of-the park. |

Yeah, I'll echo what everyone here seems to be saying. It's like she's on a different show.
I spent the first 3/4 of the show rolling my eyes and the last 1/4 fighting back whatchamacallits. |

Agreed about the scenes with the handicapped son. I've seen that frustration first hand from my mom years ago at the height of my own disability. Felicity

It was heartbreaking seeing Lynette force her disabled son to make that sandwich...Seeing him shaking and trembling really made me want to cry.
