WHY!?
I JUST DON'T LIKE THEM FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. that's a good enough reason for them being #17.
16. SINGAPOREAN IDOL WINNERS
except one!
This I will have a long detailed update.
Basically, there's a lot of mandarin reality shows (Project Superstar/Campus Superstar/Superband/Superhost/Singapore Idol/etc.) I know so weird. Singapore Idol is English tho. So I'm gonna start with how it all started... SINGAPORE IDOL 1. basically, we copied American Idol/Pop Idol etc. and have our own version of Idol. I was very satisfied with the winner! 
Taufik Batisah! okay here are some more pics (he is quite possibly the hottest winner Singapore will EVER PRODUCE) 
I'm lazy to find more but he is hot and pretty good! I was very satisfied he won. HOWEVER, here comes Singapore Idol 2! And guess what... The winner is basically TAUFIK V2.0 WTF!? and he competed on Asian Idol instead of Taufik (he won that too) 
HADY MIRZA! his career flopped so bad he ended up being the second host of Singapore Idol 3! I mean come on, Taufik was way better and hotter. And basically, hady was the default win at the F6 onwards because the best two singers were kicked off in 7th and 8th. Then here comes Singapore Idol 3... WHO WINS? TAUFIK v3.0! 
except that he's EVEN UGLIER and sings worse than Hady. Okay Hady wasn't that bad vocally. But we didn't need another version of Taufik to win idol in the second season too. Then we have 3.0 win season 3! there's no point in really having Singapore Idol. every winner post-SI1 has been a carbon copy of Taufik. This year we had 2 females in the F3(!) and they both were great. However, we voted this guy to be our idol (WTF!?) he's not hot, he doesn't sing well and he's boring. Sylvia/Tabitha wuz rawbed! MOVING ON. 
PROJECT SUPERSTAR HE WINS BECAUSE HE'S BLIND. I have nothing against the blind people but he really only won because people pitied him. I think he flatout sucked and these Project Superstar people have to act in some mandarin drama. Then he wins an award for acting in that drama... Guess what role did he play? Acting as a blind guy! How easy is that for him? really i didn't bother to find out the season 2 winner but he probably sucks. And the fact nobody really heard of that winner affirms it. who should've won Project Superstar? 
this guy. hot. but he didn't do much post show except be Lin JJ's friend or something. the females were good tho and i'm shocked singapore has still FAILED TO PRODUCE A FEMALE WINNER FOR A SINGING COMPETITION. 
she came in 2nd and she pretty recently quit music. =( i actually liked her a lot post show, she was producing really good Mandarin music and I'm sad she quit   
this #!**!!@ should've won! she was awesome post show! basically we had disappointing winners throughout for the two BIG shows. At least we had a good winner for Campus Superstar 1 (didn't follow 2 cause it sucked) and Superband (i think) but these are smaller shows. I haven't followed any Singapore reality tv shows already and SI3 I only watched the finale (but I knew a lot because my other friends watched it and spammed me with vids...). So far we have only produced one good and successful winner (Taufik) who ended up dabbing into Malay music cause the English market in Asia is really too small to capitalize on. Shows how much our island sucks and how shitty we are in choosing winners.

While I don't really ~hate~ Nick and Starr, I'm still annoyed that they won. Ken and Tina winning instead would have been so epic y'all.

15. Jordin Sparks American Idol 6

I didn't follow AI6 and so I didn't really bother what was coming out of that season.
However, I have been so constantly impressed with Jordin post-show! She has been BRINGING IT. No Air was pretty god damn amazing (and it ended up being covered by glee and by a bunch of other people)! It was a SMASH! I loved One Step At a Time even more than No Air and it was pretty successful too! With that song she bagged her first no. 1 in Singapore! G.ODDESS I was liking her already and then nothing came from Jordin until May... BATTLEFIELD! Zomg, she debuted the song LIVE on American Idol in the Results Show for the Top 3. AMAZING. She was such a g.oddess on stage! Battlefield blew me away and I instantly downlaoded it! Not to mention, Battlefield is one of my absolute favorite songs of 2009! It was simply breathtaking. It was my #4 song for 2009 (in my Top 100)! She managed to hit #1 in Singapore too! I think it ended up at #29 for the Top 100 Songs of 2009! From that she turned into sex g.oddess by dancing in a tight suit and shaking her booty in S.O.S.! I loved this song but too bad it didn't really do well. all in all, she is the only Idol Winner I have LOVED post show and she transformed from this fat ugly bubbly girl into a beautiful superstar! She is gorgeous now! She also toured with the g.oddess known as BRITNEY SPEARS and was her opening act so I have to acknowledge her greatness! I'm sure many have made a 180 on her, as I've seen in previous ranking threads. Everyone called her crap etc. but she is pretty much the 2nd most recognized idol as of now (internationally. I know Carrie is more well known in America). She even collaborated with Aussie Idol winner Guy Sebastian to produce this song called Art of Love!
what a megastar! This is my favo Idol Collaboration yet!
all in all, Jordin blew me away post show and I am now a big fan of hers! Also, ppl need to buy her album Battlefield! It is simply AMAZING and I absolutely love almost every single track on it!

Eric and Danielle's win was the first time that I was truly outraged about people who didn't DESERVE to be cast on All-Stars. Well that's not true
because Mike Boogie...
but actually this trend branching across every cbs show is kind of amazing. |
