Things I had noticed.....

In the Season 2 DVD, Jeff Probst and Colby both mention how Jerri had forsaken Jeff Probst for not defending her during the S8 Finale , where Jerri was booed out of the building (one of my favorite moments in Survivor History).

In a later episode, Tina and Keith both claimed Ogakor would have totally won the Episode 6 IC even if Skulpin had not gotten hurt and I have to say it sounded like the ultimate in false bravado. I would need to see the "test run" that they do of every challenge with production crew to see exactly what it was, but I have to say that in theory, Skulpin/Varner/Nick/Alicia/Elizabeth would be the tribe I bet on over Colby/Keith/Tina/Jerri/Amber. Keith and Tina both claimed they would have won because they had Colby- Colby has never shown himself as a player that can carry a tribe to victory on his own- supposedly it was a obstacle course of some kind and last time I checked, O-Courses usually require the entire tribe to compete in them so I have to say Kucha would have won.

Not True.
Back in season 2, there was no rule about sitting out people in back-to-back challenges. That rule did not take place until season 3.
There were some ways around it, though. In episode 5 they made all of Kucha compete in the challenge, I forget what the claim was- I personally read it that they did not want Kucha going in with THAT much an advantage because it would damage the shows ratings if they had Kucha go into the merge up 6/4 or 7/3

well, I said my two cents as to why they made Kucha compete up 7-5 at that point. I think they wanted Ogakor to win so it would not be penultimate episode on episode 5.

I would need to see the video that would have shown that they do in EVERY challenge, where they show the challenge and what is expected and have stand ins going thru it. Based on that, I could get a better idea of what might happen between Kucha vs Ogakor at that point.

You have to consider that at that point, Ogakor was definitely "hungrier" in that the ambitions of everyone on that tribe were on the line..... losing and none of them will win Survivor and only 3 will even make the Jury would be a powerful drive for them.

Kucha to be sure would be more nourished and rested and fed going into the challenge. that is always a good thing.

Ogakor loses- There would be a chism. The absolute best play to be made, would be to realize that Kucha would probably see this as the probable voting out schedlue- "Colby, Keith, Jerri, Amber, Tina". I'd target Tina on the grounds that Kucha will probably NOT vote for her any time soon and at least this way, someone might get to day 30. If I were Colby, that is what I would do, target Tina so that at least it opens things up. It would be easy to vote out Jerri on the grounds that she more or less led the Ogakor to this point.

Kucha loses- I think.......hmm, it was mentioned that Skulpin/Rodger/Elisabeth were flat out in an alliance. Varner/Alicia were a bloc and Nick was being uncommitted. If that is true, and if the first alliance targets Varner, it does not matter what Nick did because Varner would be out from prior votes.

Definitely opens up the season when you think of it.

Probst and Colby talk about that- Probst mentions how Jerri had disowned Probst for failing to defend her during the Survivor All Stars Reunion and for bringing things up during the AMERICA VOTES part as well; claims Jerri said she would never talk to Probst again over that.
