I caught one episode on History several months ago, and recently went looking for other episodes. The one I saw was centered around Vegas, and showed what will happen over the days/months/years/decades after people leave the earth. There's also one about the National monuments/treasures, one about cows and dogs, etc. I found one website which has a few of the episodes, but can't find the rest online. Does anyone know of a site that has all of the full episodes available? Or if there's a second season in the works?

Posts: 871 (10/14/09 08:10 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I'll have to look for that book, shiza. can't see the vid at work, but i'll check it out at home. :) One of the most interesting things I saw showed that within 50 years,(I think it was) hollywood would be completely overgrown and you'd never be able to tell there was a town there. All of the metal and concrete would be degraded and all new trees and plants would take the place. In one episode, they highlighted a town called "Centrailia" in PA. It's only a couple of hours from me, but i've never been there. Seeing this show has made me want to go explore this ghost town.

Posts: 10218 (10/14/09 12:28 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I loved the eppy about Atlanta...said that kudzu would overgrow the entire city then die from a drought resulting in a huge fire due to a lightening strike. So, Atlanta burns. NF, that eppy about the town in PA was really good...the Theatre they went inside still had remnants of the beauty it had once been. Creepy and sad but interesting.

I can't help but how wrong they are on a bunch of stuff though...like the agile dogs having to go out and scavenge for food while the house pets pretty much die off quickly either from not being able to get out of the house or from not being able to make it against the odds and/or becoming prey to other animals. Cuz if we magically disappear how is it that our pets are left unscathed? Or actually, how is it that we magically disappear in the first place yet everything else is left in perfect operating condition? There was another series, or a single show, that told of the top 10 ways we will meet our end on earth, or summat. That one was really cool, but I'm into gloomy stuff like that. The Yellowstone Supervolcano show on How the Earth is Made--now THAT's depressing.

They've been running marathons of this for the past 2 weeks, so i set my dvr to record them all in the hopes that I'd see the ones I missed. I don't think they've shown all of them. I've only seen one new one that I hadn't previously. Now it's set to only record new. I'm excited to see what the new season holds. Not sure how many more things they can explore in such depth. I think they've covered quite a bit. I've noticed a bit of repetition in a few episodes.
