If they didn't have sex they surely messed around. Ben fell in love with Amy at the drop of a hat like that. None of these kids have normal high school three week relationships. They've all been together since the start of their first year in school.

Though, I would like to point out that it is never the counselor's job to be going after kids who are breaking the rules. That's the job of the administration. Don't forget the acting. I laughed out loud so many times in this episode. Unfortunately, most of those times were ones the writers probably hadn't intended. Like when Ben's Italian girlfriend just happened to be on the beach at the same time as him.

This episode was a train wreck. I loved it. There's a real drinking game here, though. A shot every time any one says the word sex. I'd be tanked before the first commercial. And masturbation chat with widow mom? Eww. Just too creepy.

There is no way that they are all that bad at acting. Loved Blossom taking a student to prom Councilor. That was so freaking absurd. There is not that big of a councilor shortage that they'd hire someone with that public of a record. I didn't think the masturbation chat was that creepy. It was much more realistic than most of the other stuff. The girlfriend being on the beach was so hilarious.

There are high schoolers that could act and write better than their "professionals". It's not like there's a lack of talent out there. Even pretty talent.

Remove this ad I don't think it's the actors. 7th Heaven was made by the same people and it also had the crap writing, which led to bad acting. Example the gay kid (griffin?) was on Dexter and he was great on there but on Secret Life it is horrible. That said I can't stop watching this show.
