Okay, so my boyfriend got me to watch the entire first half of season one and I just have to say - Does anyone hate Rachel as much as I do?! Gosh, I can't
fucking stand her and hate how all the other characters feed her already over-bloated ego!

Nobody really hates Rachel, although some hate that she gets the leads more often than not, but...well, she's simply the best. If you wish ill of your star

I would like Mercedes better if she didn't have to SCREAM every single song. Lea Michele has gotten the advantage of having both loud, big songs and
softer, more reserved ones. Although I think Lea Michele is clearly head and shoulders above every other singer on the show... combined.

Mercedes has the potential to be great but she needs more practice, IMO. Lea is undoubtedly and obviously a seasoned performer. No one could have pulled off
Don't Rain On My Parade like she did. That chick is gifted and has worked for years to refine her vocal chops. It shows time and time again, but
particularly on that song.

Mercedes had a really nice "softer" performance of 'Don't Make Me Over'. But it's easy to forget that one since it got cut from the
show.

It's kind of weird their selections for the CDs. They should have had "Say a Little Prayer" which was featured in the show, and portrayed by the
3 gay bears, and yet the CD had "Crush" which is a great song, but Rachel only sang out 3 notes on the show before Schuster shushed her.
I was also surprised by the "Defying Gravity" cut, because it didn't match the show. I loved it that on the show Chris sang "I'm through accepting limits, because people say their so" as he glared at Mr Schu for saying he couldn't sing the "girl's" part. But Rachel sang the line on the CD. But just minor bumps along the road on this magic show... W.ither the Glee Bubble Gum Cards? I want to collect them all. |
