Its been reported that Survivor may change its routine and have same location every two seasons, and every other season may have returning contestants.

Ugh. All Stars overload. I'd be OK with a 2nd chance season, but after that can't we just have new contestants for a few seasons in a row? Don't
give a crap if it's at the same location.

If theyre willing to make an allstars season every year, then its about time they do a celebrity edition. I just wanna see people I already know go through the process and play the game. |

Or just go ahead and film every season in Panama (which they kind of did for awhile). I really watch this show for the people, not the locations.

I honestly don't care about the locations, but ASS sucks ass. Not only are they dreadful seasons, but they're also the most spoiled seasons... without
intentionally looking for the Heroes vs Villains spoilers, I've seen them in threads on Sucks proper and comments on videos I posted at youtube.

I rather have 2 seasons with one being an All Star then only 1 seasons. Seriously.
OMG 2nd chance is on it's way. I cannot wait. |

This one right down from first boot to possible winner, first ASS had pretty much the entire bootlist as did Micronesia. On the plus side, it would be cool to keep having returning players come back, even if its in Micronesia format. Just as long as it doesn't become overkill. never really cared much about the location, more about the characters/editing. |

I just really see this becoming RW/RR Challenge territory, with a bunch of people who have no other way to make a living than to compete on reality shows, and
thus who become instantly unrelatable and, to me, unlikable.

Survivor won't continue for too long anyway, so it doesn't really make a lot of difference.

I agree with PGY about the RW/RR Challenge thing. I wouldn't like a lot of All-Stars seasons if anything because it'd end up with contestants being on
for maybe even a 4th time. If they did do that, hopefully the maximum would be three times or somethin'.

the ironic part is that Micronesia was one of the lowest rated seasons....Guat wasn't really helped by Bobby Jon & Steph as that was the season that
started the downward spiral.
ASS had the benefit of having 9 characters from when it was the biggest show on tv and 9 when Survivor was still top 5/10. |

Torched93 wrote: The problem with a celebrity edition is that most celebrities don't need the money and have little incentive to starve, weather the elements, contract parasites or risk potentially fatal injuries. If a celebrity wants exposure, it is much easier to try to get on DWTS or Celebrity Apprentice. Both those shows serve a better purpose for them since DWTS is viewed as a challenge and you can use it to get in better shape and on the Apprentice they play for charity. So it may be that we have to put up with seeing Rupert, Fat Russ, Amanda and Parvati a few more times but I doubt it. My gut is telling me that Survivor will only be on for 2 more years after season 20. Season 22 could feature contestants that only played once and were voted out. With the Hindu concept of reincarnation, India would be a great location for this season. Since in Survivor, as fire represents life, any contestant that was voted out would be considered to have died within the context of the game. So no contestant that made the finals would be cast, Season 24 would be the all winners season and that season would close out the franchise. |

All of the contestants will be so experienced that they are simply actors. People like Rupert and Steph act as heros while Jerri, Coach etc. fill the role of villains. I would enjoy seeing a second chance season, but after that the show would officially be jumping the shark for me. Once ideas for a celebrity edition have been hatched, you can consider Survivor all but dead. |

You can't tell me there are only 300-350 interesting people in the USA to draw from...ie, to keep using the same contestants over and over and over again.
They could certainly use the same general location repeatedly, just move on down the beach so it looks a bit different. But production crews could stay put, and save $$. I think they should have a "Most # of times applied" season. |

If Survivor becomes like this, resorting to reusing old blood, can it fairly be considered a reality show?If the focus is he GAME of Survivor, at least we get to watch better and more entertaining players. Better ASS than building season around one Coach or Russell type guys (plus a bunch of recruits. Taj already was treated like a celebrity by the damn S18 editing and wasn't playing to win. |
