It's OK if you don't wanna or don't have any Jate spoiler to give us, but it's just cruel to do a thing like that. Thank you so much. I am so sorry. I received many upset emails like this one, and I want you to know this was not an intentional slight. I fully meant to include something on Jate when I set out to write the article, but unfortunately was not able to dig up anything on their interaction, and (mommy brain, sorry!) simply forgot to change the title. The one thing I can tell you is that there seems to be more happening between Sawyer and Kate than Jack and Kate in the beginning of the new season, but as we all know, everything can change in one single episode on Lost, so don't give up hope. And if they weren't ever gonna crash, the island never would have bothered getting them on the plane together in 2004 flight 815. Eloise hammered in the point that the Universe course corrects and that what is supposed to happen will invariably happen. The main roadblock here is that Desmond's 'reset' or 'alt future' were dream like and that his imagined reality was playing out in his mind, but who's imagining this alt future involving all of the losties?? It'd be a big stretch if they go the desmond 'reset' route and suggest that all 40 some losties are having the same dream. I'm leaning towards one lostie being responsible for dreaming up this alt reality, with the early favorites being Jack or Locke and Hurley/Walt as the dark horses (and looking at early spoilers, who's most involved in all of these flash backs). (also of note, having just reread this post, I have confused myself and could easily argue why none of this should happen, complex shiz yo).

Remove this ad Not a spoiler... just something to add about the correlation between The LOST Supper and the original Last Supper by DaVinci. If you look up on Google some of the items depicted in the painting you'll find that an orange wedge in a pewter plate was on the table in front of Matthew. When I read that the first thought that came to mind was Locke with that orange wedge in his mouth in season 1. Also, there are 13 people in the DaVinci painting (12 apostles and Jesus), but in The LOST Supper there are 14 (13 apostles and John Locke). I'm sure more stuff can be found.

There has been nothing in spoilers to suggest the reset isn't a total reset. When Kate helps Claire get to the hospital, Kate is helping a stranger. Charlie tries to commit suicide; Jack saves him.. a stranger. Ben is a teacher. He doesn't know the Losties. This is what I have gathered from the spoilers. Could be wrong, but thinking not. I don't think a clear reset is pointless. It will allow them and us to see life "uncrashed".. which will be interesting. How does the reset affect everyone? How many lives are affected by that plane not crashing? Who will be happy? Who will be unhappy? How do they start crossing paths with each other and why? (Miles & Sawyer working together) My only gripe is it seems to be lasting too long.. half the season?? I do agree that something will start nudging them to remember those missing years though. There may even be vague feelings of "do I know you?" as early as the premiere/on the plane. I do believe the crash will bleed through at some point. If not, then 8 episodes (at least) of them not remembering anything will be annoying.

Claire, Ben, Sun, Hurley, Miles are in different positions in both photos. There is no Juliet, no Desmond. The backdrop is a ruined wall with a Dharma logo. Is this the future? All the way to the year 2000? "In the year 2000..... in the year 2000aaaaaaaaahhhnn" Was last season only the start of the of the FlashFORWARDS?

Hmm..can you show me the spoiler thingy that said that Kate doesnt know Claire when she helps her? or that Jack doesnt know Charlie? Or Ben not knowing the losties as a teacher? I can buy Clair and Charlie not knowing...cause they werent near the swan hatch during the blast, so they wouldnt have post crash memories at the preset...only the losties around the implosion, ala Desmond. I agree it would be interesting to watch them lead different, but intersecting lives unawares of what their lives were like on the island...but it just doesnt make sense storywise to be spending so much time on it if there isnt any recollection of the island life they are avoiding.
