His behavior towards Russell last night was ridiculous. Yes Probst, we get it, you wanted Russell to win. He didn't. Get over it.

One thing Probst did last night that really pissed me off was rubbing it in that Natalie didn't make the top 3 in the fan vote. Yes Jeff, Natalie sucks and
Russell is OMFG AMAZING! Now would you please let the woman speak?
And this is coming from someone who wanted Russell to win. |

I never like it when he's disrespectful to the actual winner.
"Jenna! How does a spoiled brat like you manage to win? How did this HAPPEN?" "Oh, come on, Chris! Just admit that you're a horrible person, okay?" "So, Natalie, really now. Don't you think that your goat should have won the game?" Fuck off, Probst. There are plenty of winners who I've thought weren't all that impressive, but they still fucking won, and I don't care to see them disrespected at the reunion. |

The fact he didn't say "36 Days Ago" to kick off the show last night!
For me, that is right up there with all his in episode quotes as the most iconic line in the show's history - it is so bloody epic and always starts the finale's off on the right foot. Granted, he more then likely had little to no say in this decision, but it just baffles me that they are constantly trying to fix things that aren't broken these past few seasons!! The opening credits were fine as is, the way they intro'd episodes were fine as is. "36 DAYS AGO" was fine as is... |

TheEasyOne wrote:Probst is a genius. He had to figure this game out on his own. There was no guarentee that he would be able to do that. The game developed very rapidly and unexpectedly over those first 4 seasons and I am not sold that just anybody could have zoned into it as well as Jeff has. And since Thailand, you can just tell that the dude has really studied how people have played it, and made sure that he knows it as well as anyone. With that said, yes, he can be a massive asshole, and personally that is just another reason for why I think he is not only the best Reality host of all time, but should just be considered one of the greatest hosts of all time. He isn't afraid to challenge the players of the game. In essence he is the journalist who has to ask the tough questions - and he does. Has he taken it too far sometimes? Absolutley. But the dude is worthy of his Emmys, no doubt. |

I did not care for the way he dissed Suzie in season 17. Making the comment about how she should not have gotten that close to winning. Uh, Jeff, Susie
probably did just as much if not more then Natalie did in regards to her own game. I'd argue that Susie did far more then S17 winner Bob Crowley did to win
his season. Funny how he gave Natalie the big pass but hey she won so I dunno. Based on the body language, I don't think Russell did too good in Survivor
Heros vs Villains or he would not have been that upset.

I was just watching the reunion of Survivor: Borneo for the FIRST TIME and it was so much better! The host was really funny and the 16 contestants interacted
w/ each other and all the talking was funny as hell and I love Sue's audition tape.
I think they should replace the host of the reunion starting on S20. |

Jeff is annoying in his blatant rooting at times, but for the most part that has no effect on the game.
His worst misdeeds have involved the so-called quitters. Up through S7, no one left the game without a vote taking place (except Michael, which couldn't be helped) even though there were occasions, including the second vote ever (B. B.), where players asked to be voted out by their tribemates. Even more importantly, the players could have a request to be voted out denied, particularly Shawna, but also Jenna. Then, because Jeff decided to get on his high horse with regard to Osten, he unilaterally decided to forego the vote. (He did at least query his tribemates if they were OK with Osten quitting.) I'm not defending Osten's lame performance that season at all, but I will say Jeff was unduly harsh on calling Osten a quitter when Osten was giving respect to the game by following its structure. There was no reason not to have a vote as usual. The only difference between Osten and previous such "quitters" including Jenna is that Jeff was angry that Osten didn't try harder. This was bad enough, but Jeff's hypocrisy was further revealed by future actual quits. Sure, Jenna had a good reason, and due to Susan's emotional breakdown, it was probably just as well that she did leave the game, but the idea of quitting as a terrible thing was severely diluted just the following season. And then there's Palau, where several of the early boots asked to be voted off just like Osten did, and yet they didn't get Osten's treatment, Then there's Janu, who clearly wished to be voted off and probably expected to be voted off prior to TC. Still, she was respecting the game structure and waiting to be actually voted off. That's when Jeff basically told her that she could quit to get out of the game, and he'd still allow her to join the jury. Now, quitting isn't only not to be punished, but to be rewarded, and who cares if the tribemates are OK with it? It is a terrible precedent, and it definitely screwed with Gregg's game plan in Palau at least. Ian joined the jury as another "quitter" that same season, but at least he would have been voted out if a formal vote had been held. Fortunately, since then, we've only had "quits" due to injury (or breakdown in Kathy's case) or via asking to be voted off, and there have been quite a few of the latter. But none of these latter day players got the treatment that Osten got. |

You are right, but Osten is much more of a massive failure than any other quitter, so I didn't mind it that much
The big problem with Jeff is that he is as much of a fan as we are, and gradually since Amazon he begun to act more like it on TCs and Reunions. He happened to be a Queefstain fan; if for some reason he were a Natalie fan, he would burn Queefstain on the reunion and trash talk his social game to no end. He needs to become impartial again. Leave the bitching and trash talking for us, Sucksters |

In Palau, Janu's plan was to quit right after they voted Stephenie out depriving CBS of an episode and millions of dollars in ad revenue. Knowing that,
I'm fine with the way they handled it.

Another one I forgot: interrupting Helen and saying ''Helen, give him [Brian] a chance to answer'' in the Final TC but not doing anything when
Alex yelled at Cassandra
