ya, what the heck is rob thomas so worried about?? being pigeonholed as a 'direct-to-dvd' guy?
he's had a pretty solid career and VM is known to be a cult show, i don't think them producing it would somehow ruin his career. on the contrary it would probably be a huge hit. i think it would fit better as a dvd release than a theatrical release anyway. |

At least we can take solace in the fact that Veronica ended with Piz and not that tool douchebag Logan.

I don't care if it's straight to DVD. I don't care if it's a Lifetime movie. I don't care if they air it on PBS at 3AM on a Wednesday. I
just want the damn movie.

Rick Porter from Zap2it named "A Trip To The Dentist" as one of the best TV episodes of the decade.

I've been watching my DVDs of this show recently, and I miss it. I did see the girl who played Gia Goodman in season two is in a new movie though...

I actually find this to be a positive... well as positive as news like this can be. Maybe WBros. would let Thomas ship the pitch around. I offhand could think of half a dozen Indy studios that would jump at the chance to make a VM movie, the problem has always been WBros. not believing/not letting go. I still think D2DVD has about a 5 percent chance of happening. It just baffles me that this film could be made for very little with an actress on the rise and the promise of a built in audience, yet no-one is willing to take the smallest chance. Unbelievable. |

For this I blame Rob Thomas and his weird aversion from anything non-financed by a big studio...it ain't gonna happen.

No blaming genius Rob, if that @$%% Ostroff never canceled VM for no reason and fucked with the fans so much we wouldn't be dying for this movie.

Can someone help me remember an episode? I vaguely recall one where Veronica pretends to go to another HS? Am I making this up or is this an actual episode? If so, which episode was it?
Or, if you know the details, can you tell me HOW she was able to go to another school? Thanks! |

Betty and Veronica in season 1, episode 16 - there was some school rivalry and it involved stolen school mascots so she went undercover as "Betty". Don't really remember how she attended, I just remember a scene where she walks into the lunchroom and sits at the jock table, introducing herself as Betty. Fun play on the Archie comics.
